Thought about selecting Inshan a few rounds back, but after reading his tragic story recently I just couldn't bring myself to
I have honestly never heard of him.

He was regarded as a good spinner in the domestic circuit.

I just read that there is a stand named after him in Trinidad

This will give you a flavour of the man
That was hard to read. The tragedy. The policy of pace, pace, and more pace. Who knows if it weren't for that how the career of Ali would have shaped up.
The personal tragedies are worst. It's sad.

I don't know if this is even a coincidence. My team is comprised of a few people mentioned in that article:

Raphick Jumadeen- I have heard of him whilst growing up.
Narsingh Deonarine- from the same club and village I am from.

Thank you for sharing this Fred.

I remember the 1976 West Indians included Jumadeen, and Albert Padmore, who also got hammered in that Indian victory - I recall being really disappointed when Inshan missed the trip, but in the end Jumadeen and Padmore only played in one Test each, and Padmore barely got to turn his arm over in his Test - neither of them looked up to much though, unlike Daniel, Holding and Roberts!

I thought he had been picked, but seems not - I feel I should pick at least one man I've written about, so am going for an injection of real pace with Cuan McCarthy

the big bambino

Cricketer Of The Year
Completely understandable as Cuan only played Aus and Eng and didn't have the opportunity to massage his figures against weaker sides. Even then he only really messed up against Aus as his 31 ave v Eng is pretty good.

International Coach
Andy Whittall if he is available

His batting attracts me, especially if the umpires don't allow him to bowl. A highest score of 5 in 15 Tests is seriously unimpressive

Just a thought, but if the last round is going to be a free for all how about making it slightly different by upping the criteria for that pick to significantly increase the minimum number of Tests played - was thinking something like 50
