**Official** Sri Lanka in India 2014

Tharanga failing is good, we can finally get rid of him for the WC. He can go back to scoring runs in A-tours because he is just not an international standard player. Having said all this he will probably edge his way to a 50/100 in the next 3 games.

Final : India vs Sri Lanka

If anything this highlights Dhoni's performance in the 2011 WC final. Yuvraj was the player of the tournament in 11, but after the 3rd wicket fell during India's chase, he pushed Yuraj down the order and came out instead.

Almost wish had to chase more than 150. This is smack in the middle of prime choke zone.

Final : India vs Sri Lanka

Heads up to people in the US. ESPN2 is showing the game live:-O. The last 20/20 WC they did show the final but it was not live. Never thought I would see the day, no more watching games on Indian channels with Biriyani, Kebab king and Bharat/Gujurat matrimony commercials. Can now watch a...

Final : India vs Sri Lanka

I would back Kholi and Dhoni to easily chase even 180+. SL's only chance is to chase, and even then have to hope that Mahela/Perera/Mathews can overcome the inevitable choke job of Dilshan and Sangakarra. Putting $100 on India and would gladly lose this to finally win another WC, but at least...

1st semi final: Sri Lanka v West Indies

Don't know why Sangakkara keeps getting blamed for that no-ball. I have heard this being said many times, but It was Dilshan caught on the stump mic telling Randiv about the hundred and no-ball. IIRC it was also Dilshan/Randiv that got fined/suspended.

So took a quick look at the games tomorrow and odds. How is Bangladesh a -1200 favorite against anybody. Out of principle I am going to put a few on Nepal.

It's Tough Being Me - The Kevin Pietersen Story

This is such a stupid decision. Whoever is responsible for this, didn't want to give him 7 home tests against SL and India's bowling. No way you could have dropped him after he would have piled on about 4 hundreds this summer. Won't get a better time than now to use the "cancer in the dressing...

"Kaushal was unfortunate to miss a hundred," Jayawardene said. "The little guy is batting really well. I'm very proud of him. He's a clubmate of mine and he works really hard at his game. Good to see that he has shown the same kind of commitment at this level and he fully deserves what he has...

    DoG's Top 100 Test Batsmen - The Top 25

Happy to see Sanga get some credit for his great innings. He has 3 great innings against Pak in 3 different countries across 12 years, with one more series coming up in 3 months. Btw DoG, could you also calculate Sanga's score for the 3rd test in England in 2011?

Most of the games he missed were at the start of his career? Did it significantly affect his rating?

    DoG's Top 100 Test Batsmen: 50-26

Good stuff, really enjoying this. Curious to see where Sanga ends up (unless I some how missed him:unsure:) Reckon he has a lot more significant innings than most people expect.
