Don't know if this has been said but Bird looks a shadow of the bowler he once was.

Last time I checked NZ at home were pretty formidable bowling unit, or are people changing their tune? Well done Voges.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why Lynn is not in the squad. I rate Zampa as the most talented of the young Aussie leggie I have seen, however I don't think he should be in the odi squad. On the topic of MMarsh and test I think Australia just look a better team at present, more balance with...

I beg to differ I think on seam friendly pitches having a Mitch Marsh/ Stokes option avoids letting the batsman "off the hook" by bowling the spinner. Also Haz and Patto are young, we shouldn't be force to over bowl them.Mitch Marsh is a batsman first and fore most and a bowler second and no...

Is Shaun more likely than his brother to score runs on helpful wickets. I have my doubts about S. Marsh agains the moving ball. Anyways it is unlikely we will see Australia going without an all rounder. I totally disagree with the view that selectors should be flexible with the all rounder...

Yes, should definitely play Santner. What do people reckon will be Australia bowling line up?Bird or Siddle or Sayers for that one remaining spot. I'd definitely pick Bird.

What about playing BJ Wattling as a specialist bat at 5, Anderson 6 and bringing Ronchi in. Does he still play? Watling averages 37 and is comfortable a better bat than either. I reckon he should go down the Mc Cullum route of giving up the gloves soon.

Well if he bats throughout he will.

Nah reckon Maxwell for S.Marsh and Faulkner at 7, Wade 8 is the best odi batting line up. Thing is there are several players who could single handedly win a game off their own bat and most importantly they bat deep. Dangerous batting team.

Is he a better odi bat than Faulkner? Think Australia have missed a trick not sending Faulkner in.

This MMarsh really hits the cricket ball hard, wow.

Really good knock from Warner. Why is Wade batting ahead of Faulkner?

    Maxwell is injured.

This Australian batting team is awesome. Best ever limited-overs batting line up 1-6, with Maxwell included? 1 -7 if you include Faulkner at 7.

Well said, I would certainly persist with him as long as the top five bats are performing as a group and of course the team is winning. As I've said before I don't think selectors will drop him, well certainly not any time soon, regardless of what happens in New Zealand. If they were unsure of...

Henriques is an inferior bowler though. I doubt he'd have much of an impact. If they're picking Henriques they're basically picking him to bowl a few tight overs. If that is what they need, they would consider Maxwell before him. Maxwell is a better bat than Henriques. Selectors want an all...

Has gilly ever kept up to the stumps to Mc Grath? I bet he has. At Sayers pace though you need to be able to move the ball both ways and be accurate to be successful in test. He is a chance then of succeeding ( if he gets a game). I just get the feeling though that selectors are just like fans...
