Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

Bacon rolls are ****ing awesome. Anyone who thinks otherwise has a screw loose.

    **Official** England in Bangladesh 2016

On the flip side, England are picking someone older than me for the first time in ages.

***Official*** Australia in South Africa + South Africa in Australia 2016/17

Has he bollocks. He's dined out on the West Indies bowlers and been far less convincing when facing the better attacks. He's no more a proper all rounder then someone like Woakes (a far better batsman then Philander who would IMO look out of place at 7).

IMO Philander at 8 makes it a fairly weak tail so if he's at 7 it's a very weak tail.

Have to agree, I've been one of Bairstow's biggest detractors but he's definitely the 3rd best batsman in the side at present.

Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

$150 is probably the average price of when you take Jono out for a steak. With that in mind, spend the $150 on the membership and you don't have to go out for a steak with Jono - sounds like a win-win to me.

Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

Nobody has said that though, but what they have said, which is perfectly true, is that he has been close to the best in the world, something Ntini can never come anywhere near, rendering your initial claim/post as total hogwash.

Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

You can definitely not say that Anderson has never been close to being the best in the world. Pure unadulterated bollocks.

    *Official* English Football Season 2016-17

As someone with 3 defenders in the game, I was quite happy to be honest.

West Indies vs Pakistan in UAE 2016

The only problem Rashid gave them was deciding whether to hit him for 4 or 6.

Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

What total and utter bollocks. By that definition you're excluding 100 years of cricketers including the best batsman of all time and the best all rounder ever.

Surely if you take Batty out there at his age then he's got to be playing?

West Indies vs Pakistan in UAE 2016

I disagree in regards to England. The climate and dusk situation make it a very bad idea.

    FCA goes mainstream

Then there's the "falsely given out" thing that he failed to acknowledge. At the end of the day, this article and the whole theory is completely redundant because there is no clear definition of what a dropped chance is and as soon as you rely on more than one person's interpretation of...

I wouldn't be so sure. Pretty sure he got runs over there last time didn't he?

Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

He did want to stay on and mentor the other spinners in the squad but Flower told him he couldn't.
