    Brian McMillan vs Lance Klusner

What exactly does he add to that team in contrast to a specialist batsman. It would be a different matter if Kallis wasn't there but no team needs 6 bowlers, especially not when 5 of them are seamers.

    The Stokes and Woakes Thread

Bloody hell, I never thought I'd see someone with a bigger chip on his shoulder then Scaly.

    Shaun Pollock vs Gary Sobers

Because it's Imran by a country mile rather than Sobers by 3 country miles?

Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Seeing as it's Cricinfo my money is either on Kohli or Ravi Bopara.

    The Stokes and Woakes Thread

Starting to get that way but needs to carry it on for a while longer for me - don't forget how great Freddie was at his peak.
  6. marc71178

What do you find to be the most exciting aspect of a test match?

I don't see how he is any less exciting than Freddie and this is coming from a huge fan of Freddie who has also been a big Stokes critic for a long time. At this stage in his career he is set up to eclipse Freddie by quite some way.

***Official*** Australia in South Africa + South Africa in Australia 2016/17

Yes I do, and you've not given any argument that contradicts the facts: Man hit on pad. Umpire considers it was going onto hit stumps from his vantage point, with his experience of Cricket around the world and of the pitch in question and gives him out. Man objects and calls for a review...

***Official*** Australia in South Africa + South Africa in Australia 2016/17

Oh no, I understand it perfectly - umpire judged it was going on to hit the stumps so gave it out accordingly. Smith reviewed it (as is his right) and it was shown to be hitting the stumps thus indicating that the umpire was correct in his judgement. Explain to me what your argument is in terms...

Actually, you're the one with no argument. Umpire gave it out and was proven correct yet you still say it was wrong, even when other factors are pointed out to you.

    ***Official*** England in India 2016/17

Ignoring the batting, I'm really not sure why you're convinced that Jake Ball is a better bowler then Woakes either

Well he gave it out didn't he? Pretty sure that being an International umpire he knows the laws etc. so knows what his obligations are. Worth remembering that the camera angle shown on the to is not the same as the view he had of it, it is much worse.

But when the precedent can be proven to be wrong, why should it remain the status quo and not be overturned? If you want to go by precedents I'll give you the one about the scoreboard being right and that says he was out.

The Secret of Glenn McGrath's Success

I see your break hasn't made you any less of a ****.

    ***Official*** England in India 2016/17

Drop Woakes for someone who's an inferior batsman and bowler? Suddenly the strength that was the lower order becomes weak as **** with Broad at 9.

The Secret of Glenn McGrath's Success

Have to say the idea that Steyn has spent the majority of his career carrying a largely ineffective attack to be a new one to me and dare I say it, a complete load of revisionist bollocks.

    Wastemen etc

Slippy thinks that there's no chat going on in the forum so has decided to advocate NZ recalling pensioners. I reckon he'll be going for Richard Hadlee next.

    World Rankings 'Red' vs 'Blue'

There hasn't been a world class replacement but then again Chris Gayle was far from a world class Test opener.

Greame Hick the australia batting coach

Because clearly this sort of collapse hadn't ever happened before he came in and he is the only reason for this collapse... Have you ever made a valid point on this forum?

    World Rankings 'Red' vs 'Blue'

He would be doubtful for even being in the WI team, let alone the overall team ahead of people who you know, have actually played any red ball cricket in the last 3 years.
