I guess not! But I've been waiting for Sammy to bowl in tests, since his brilliant debute in England.

Het got a double decade, rather than a double century :) . And still no Sammy in the attack!

Getting Kallis out for nought is indeed quite something! Oh, and while typing, Amla's gets bowled. SA are in deep deep trouble here! Traling some 340 runs with 6 wickets. And Sammy has bowled a ball yet!

Well, I haven't seen him bowl that much. I always get the impression that some teams try to find a spinner only because of the fact they need a spinner... But you are right: Harris' relatively short-time figures are impressive. Anyway, as I said, I would sooner drop Nel or a batsman for...

I would select Polly in nearly any test team. Though I like Nel's style, I would drop him for Polly. You might even consider dropping a batsman for Pollock. Or possibly Harris. Anyway, Windies got a 400+ score and I don't think anyone seriously expected them so do so well. Then, taking out...

Ever since Darren Sammy's Test debute in England, earlier this year, I have been looking forward to this test. So far, he does great with the bat (38 from 77 balls atm). Let's see if he can get his maiden 50. But the bowling is what I really look forward to. The West Indies bowling line up has...

Only 2 wickets today...... I was able to listen to the BBC for most of the 2nd session. When Pietersen and Harmison were out there, it looked like a wicket was to fall within minutes. Commentators even said that Harmy deserved a wicket. They were alos impressed by Pietersen's spin. It beats me...

I think it's fair to mention the 2006 tests vs Pakistan. Taking 6/19 is something of any note, not?

Nah, Obviously, Vandort has Dutch ancestors. Van Dort is a common surname over here.

I had the same idea. So, maybe it isn't a bad idea for England to keep a good economy and try to strike tomorrow in the early morning. Van Dort (that's how we should spell it  ) and Jaya are good batsmen who both average somewhere in the high 40s. But, arguably, Sri Lanka's tail begins...

Hmm, Harmison might not be the Harmison he once was, but he has proven he can be a dangerous customer. I think he deserves a chance to prove it again. Here, on cricinfo and in several media, he is, imho, treated to badly. Prejudice all over ther place... From cricinfo: Harmison to DPMD...

Well, right after that very positive innings, he took 2 good catches (and if I have to believe the BBC-radio, the first one was brilliant). Good to see both Broad and Harmison (i.e. not Anderson). Broad is really bowling tight on his debute spell. What about the warnings? Is he really doing...

Well, Anderson is the poor bowler who, according to some, fits the Subcontinent. Imho, he shoudl not be in any England test team. Maybe I'm too much of a Harmison fan, but he has proven he can win a test. He might not perform, but otoh, he might. At least you have a chance with Harmy. With...

Pfffff, from 167/0 in the 37th over to 232/9 in 50 overs. Quite a collaps that is!

From what I've red (I've hardly seen a thing), it was pretty good. He seems to have his place in the team secured. I agree with you on the criticism. To me, it sometimes appears the England media want a top-class glovesman, who would make it to the team on his batting performance alone.

Well, that might be a logical and sensible way to look at things. But, on the other hand, it might be wise to look for good bowlers, rather than poor bowlers that fit the occasion. I'd give Sidebottom some benefit of the doubt, but Anderson should, imho, leave the England team, to never ever...

No , it was not your best. Only Panesar and Hoggard bowled well (and part-time bowler Collingwood). Sidebottom and especially Anderson did poorly. Jimmy took 2 for 167, both innings combined. From the ashes 2006/7 I've wondered what the hell Anderson is doing in the England team. And during...

About the Aussies touring the West Indies and ticket information

Thanks! So, I can simply walk to the Park and buy tickets? How much would a ticket cost?

About the Aussies touring the West Indies and ticket information

The good news is that my fiancee has agreed with a honeymoon trip to Jamaica (we'll get married 17 may 2008). The even better news is that the first test between Australia and the West Indies will be played 22-26 may at Sabina Park :) . The poor news is that I really do NOT have a clue how to...
