    ***Official** Quadrangular Series in Ireland

And out 2 balls later.... Very thin edge to the new West Indian wicket keeper, Damdin BTW, is this really over 17? Cricinfo messing up again....

    ***Official** Quadrangular Series in Ireland

Both cricinfo and hte BBC mess thigns up. BBC has Ramdin, Chanderpaul and Gayle batting for the Netherlands. Cricinfo..., well they seem to have things sorted out now.

We're underway! First over 6 runs for NL.

    ***Official** Quadrangular Series in Ireland

We should be underway! Why aren't we? Rain in Dublin, perhaps? Cricinfo doesn't explain! I really hope we can kick some West-Indian arse, though I realise it's unlikely. Otoh, the chances to create an upset are bigger than at the WC, where we had to play Aus & SA.

    **Official** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

Isn't that very unprofessional? At test level, a tail-ender should know his task! Another thing I wonder: I've read some commentaries. Some suggest that Murali was just as good as ever, but that Ashraful and Rahim simply found out how to handle his bowling. That could be interesting for other...

    **Official** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

Well, there's not too much difference in a real batsman trying to keep the strike to protect his tail-end-team-mate and a tail-ender trying to avoid the strike. Getting run out, as a tail-ender, while attempting to take the strike just doesn't make sense. I didn't see it (nor read the cricinfo...

    **Official** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

It's not the first time, nor the last time, we see number 10 or 11 batsmen run out during their efforts to avoid the strike.

    **Official** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

It's too bad this great partnership of these two young batsmen means close to nothing for this test, because all other partnertships only contributed a handful of runs. But anyway, it's good to see that Bangladesh can do well with the bat!

Zami at Groen-Geel. I've played at VCC (I suppose you play there) twice this season.

Windies entering the slog overs with 8 wickets in hand! Over 41: 9 runs Over 42: 11 runs Over 43: 18 runs And still 8 wickets!

    **Official** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

I doubt that! It might not be fair to judge this by the WC-ODI games, but, apart from the setup win over India, they simply showed crap for the rest of the tourney, even losing to Ireland. The setup win over SA gave me the benefit of the doubt, but that's gone now. I'm not saying Bangladesh is...

    **Official** Bangladesh in Sri Lanka

The problem with Bangladesh is not only that they lose 10 wickets in a session and 2 balls, but also appear totally hapless with the ball. I really would like to see how they would do against Netherlands, Ireland or Scotland in a 2-innings-match!

Well, I'm indeed the same Stapel! Though I'm not much on CFC either these days. Oh, Borren has 85 from 63 now!

Fair points Silent Striker! I agree with you. I wonder, has there ever been a test country that has lost its test status, due to continuing poor results (thus not what happened to SA or so)?

    ***Official** Netherlands in Canada ***

So, after a tough 4-day first class match, the Dutch showed they're up to something. Good to see we can actually beat the Canadians in this two-innings match, whiel being under quite some pressure! Now the ODI's. A totally different game, but it's my opinion us Dutchies should be able to lead...

To be fair, this is hardly test cricket. It becomes an easy way for Bangladesh' opponents to crank up some averages.

I agree. Are there any rules set on when a team can become a test team?
