*Official* India in Sri Lanka 2010 - Tests

Well, Malinga got Dhoni cheaply. And still with the old ball, or did I miss something? Anyway, Malinga will soon get the new ball to have a go at the tail. Edit: I love to see Malinga bowl!

Good test this! Halfway day 3 and all results still possible. Feels like 40-40-20 for India-SL-draw.

That's it then: 425 runs in the first innings: game on! Is it just me, or should Sharma have been brought earlier to have a go at the tail?

Well, Mendis showed some sensible batting, scoring 3 runs from 40 balls, while Samaraweera could take the partnership to 35 runs.

Why do you say so? 450 seems a probable first innings score now and that actually does give this match a decent chance to become good one!

About Yuvi: Cricinfo has an article about how he was provoked, but handled it quite well.... Anyway, much ado about nothing. I like the comments of waterboy. All part of the audience folklore in sports.

Well, the umptieth time an LBW-appeal is honoured, while heighth is clearly an issue. A common human error, I think. Especially in the nets, I have bowled so many balls I thought would destroy the stumps, but sailed over......

Best Test Team In The World?

The real question is: Why is Pakistan in the poll...

    *Official* Pakistan in England 2010

If I am right, a team must not only be less than 200 runs behind to avoid the follow-on, but also have at least half the first innings total. Therefor, Pakistan need 177 to avoid the follow-on. I can't imagine I made this up.... Yet, I'm not 100% sure. EDIT: Can't find such thing the laws....

    *Official* Pakistan in England 2010

I honoustly give Pakistan only a minor chance. We've seen that, in order to win a test, they need to bowl their opponents for 88. That won't happen that much, even with a great attack.

I must say, those wicket didn't fall out of the sky all at once. The Lankan bowlers were creating a few chances for a while. Good show by them! Yet, this is still a fair batting track, imho. Any chance of proper pitch detoriation on day 4 or 5?

I was thinking about that. Flat decks might be annoying, but a big score does not mean there is a flat deck per se.

*Official* Australia vs Pakistan in England

Well, that seems to be a fair argument there! However, don't get carried away here! Pak have a very good pace attack. And it showed in the 1st innings. But in the other 3 innings, I thought Aus were better. The simple fact Pak cannot convert an 88-all-out to an easy & comfortable win, exactly...

Though I think that Avada Kedavra's opinion is pretty far away from reality, I didn't really find it provocative. Fans, in all sports, like to exagerate their favourite's abilities.

I've been thinking about it, and even regarding this is never-ever-give-up-Aus vs we-can-screw-up-everything-Pak, I seriously cannot see the Pakis fail from here.

Actually, I would have loved to see Afridi batting in these circumstances. Possibly, we would have seen the end of the test today. And....., Salman Butt, so far, has not won his first test as captain......

Yeah, a bit confused too. Another thing: Does the wheather allow extra overs tonight? Edit: stumps...... Cricinfo had 8 overs left.....

Well, Aamer got Ponting in the end! About his first ball: I just watched the highlights, and my immedite reaction was: that might be too high. We all know it is mighty hard to be sure about the path of such balls. And isn't it plaine and simple in cricket: If you cannot be sure, it's not out...
