I fully agree. When picking a new opener, it makes sense to see which opener does best in FC division I. So, if Robson is gonna be axed, it should be Lyth or Hales (The fact he does well as a T20 opener, does NOT mean he cannot be suited for Tests). Must say that Robson is having an impressive...

I really can't tell. Hanging around for a dozen overs and getting out to a jaffa is not exactly a great alternative. I don't think sitting out and tiring the bowlers would be a helpful way to go at this point. Maybe controlled aggression is the way to go, until hte new ball arrives.

Not the easiests of tasks, considering England's strong tail.

Hmmm, a leg bye was taken from that bouncer on the helmet. I figured taking leg byes is not allowed of the batsman doesn't play a shot, right?

Makhaya Ntini claims he was dumped unfairly out of the SA Test side

Not what I meant..... That was my point............. Anyway, silly discussion. My fault, I guess.

That's an early call! Post-Tsunami Galle has seen only three draws out of 12 Tests.

Yup! Bell's strike rate is near a run-a-ball. Assuming he gets to fifty, I start wondering it might be his quickest test fifty? Hmm, kooked it up: Will be 2nd quickest 50 then. He won't be faster than his 2nd innings fifty-before-declaration against SL in 2011.

Height was always gonna be an issue, but it's just that Pankaj really, really needs and deserves a wicket.

Shot, mr Ballance! Aaron to Ballance, FOUR, he's got this one out of the screws, an outrageous shot from Ballance, actually, pinging a slightly overpitched delivery through wide mid-on

Something completely different: Many years back, with no internet around, when I started watching cricket, I had nothing but live commentary to get into cricket. Cricket means absolutely nothing in The Netherlands (only 5000 cricketers, half of them not Dutch). Nobody to talk so. so I felt I...

Both at the same time under 30 (that's what I meant)? If so, I've missed it!

I'm pretty sure both their career averages have not been below 30, for the past 5 years or longer. Edit: anyone bored enough to properly sort this out?

So, Anderson & Broad took 9 our-of-form and/or tailender's wickets, whereas Jordan got the wicket of the only proper in form batsman Indai brought to England  . Wouldn't surprise me if Cook makes batting look easy in the last session!

Dare I say India are lucky to have lost only 4? I don't think I ever seen such gun bowling, from both ends!
