Hmmppfff, you sort of ruined my quiz!

Root has 6 now. There is another batsman in his team with 6. And there is a guy on the pitch that has 7.

Yup, Taylor is back. But for Roach. Roach injured? Or what? Anyway, your prayers have been answered: Shai Hope is in for Devon smith. Whatever Shai Hope bats like, I have to agree with that decision.

So, Misbah the Great is on the brink of lifting his Test Avergae above 50. It's a cruel thing that a batsman is nearly 41 years old, proving to be in todays world's batting top, yet having fewer than 4000 career runs.

That's what I was wondering too. It's really an unworkable situation.

England really in a superb position now. If I were Cook, I'ld give the ball to Jimmy straight after lunch. He's had 10 overs + lunch to rest. Should be enough to have another go.

Anderson was key for England winning series in Australia and India. The myth was busted long ago.

75 ahead for 5, the ball only 8 overs old, Anderson in form, and 80 overs left. Who would have thought bookies favoured England?

There should be a UN-resolution that forbids this question to be asked!

Anderson and the new ball making the difference.

Could an American team made up of minor league baseballers become T20 world beaters?

Sounds ok, but the statistics of Amit Sharma and Ravi Singh prove you wrong!

As usual, Chanderpaul walks in with the ball still fairly new :) .

Root is 24 years old, and has 2000 runs at 54. Is he really that good?

That's that then for the day. Can't say 188/5 is a good start for the Windies, but coming from 75/4 it's pretty decent.

Given his career average of 27, that is indeed some improvement! What is a decent average for a Test keeper? Prior has 40, Dhoni has 38, Boucher has 30. Gilchrist, with 47.5, obviously wasn't the standard, but the exception. It seems the new Ramdin is doing all right..

I have no stats to back it up, but I reckon he is a much improved Test batsman since his recall in 2012, when compared to his period up to 2010.

It seems to be the decent thing to do, not to begin to ask that just yet. TBF, a Shiv quite something below the Shiv he once was, is still better than many alternatives. It would be unreasonable to compare him with his career best, not?

Whatever you think about the WI selction methods, Taylor has always been a pick-up. In other words: he's injured.

Is there any chance England consider Mark Wood? I'm not saying they should, as I know nothing about him. But it's interesting to a newcomer in the squad.

Impressed by Holder. In a way, it makes his rise to ODI captaincy look decent.
