This seems a incidental opinion (if that's the right way to say it), not? Judging over his career, I'd say his shot selection is his conservative, but extremely reliable.

Is it a wise thing to do to start with Anderson (and Broad), if the new ball is due in 14 overs?

Ha, he doesn't even have the record among active players. Misbah has it. Also Gooch and Boycott ahead (well.... ahead....) of him on that list.

Does anyone know who scored (and when) the most senior ton? In other words: Is Shiv be the oldest centurion. And if not, does he have a chance to become it?

0-85, as it is right now; England will be bowled out, before any sane captain gives Benn the ball.

Why isn't Ali in the Test side? I figured he had cemented his place, not?

He's always been like that. Great technique! Great to watch. And as I type........

Hmmm, in the end a somewhat disappointing day of cricket. Good knock by Bell. But after taking 3/30, taking 1/300 is just not good enough. England not only off the hook, but in a very commanding position now.

Could an American team made up of minor league baseballers become T20 world beaters?

They could! Sure they could. But they won't be allowed to play cricket. You see, once girls are used to wearing gloves to catch a ball, they cannot return to a proper sport. Maybe, somewhere in time, this will become socially acceptable. But I can't see that happen soon.

Well that streaky edge past slip which brought up the 100 is still in my mind :D . But otherwise, yeah, good innings.

Well, he has an excellent record aginst Bangladesh :) .

Well, in principle I agree. But....., what if technology will improve and ball-tracking will become 99,99% accurate. In such a situation it does makes sense to simply bring it upstairs anyway (like we do with run outs / stumpings). We will simply come to the conclusion that the bail would have...

My first guess was that it was far too high. Not the worst review, as it appeared to shave a stump.

In a way, it is good to see he does something wrong. Something I, playing at possibly the lowest level of cricket on our globe, manage to do right :) .

Huh? Australian Tests are between 1 am and 8 am for me in NL, which is nearly the same as UK-time. Couldn't be messier!

It's something I've never wondered about: The best fielder among fast bowlers. It's really a part of cricket watching that has escaped my mind (maybe for good reasons). Just a shot out of the blue: Flintoff comes to mind. I recall some more than decent catches and run-outs by the big fella.

It's probably what I like best of T20. I'm the type of cricket fan that would always, as in ALWAYS, prefer Test Cricket. But catches like these are simply a huge plus on T20.
