I'm a physician. I cannot find a way to confirm this. Just not!

Had this is been pre-DRS, it might very well have been in some sort of top-****-umpire-decisions.......

Bat not even close to ball......

Am I the only one thinking England could/should play a bit more aggresive? Still a decent number of fielders in runs-saving-positions.....

Half guilty! I used to go by averages a lot my more than I should. Mostly because I lack real life cricket discussion buddies. In NL only 5000 people (that's including women, children, and foreigners) play cricket. At my cricket club (35 members), no one comes close to watching even 10% of the...

What I remember about Jimmey is that he was (pre 2010) a typical right-conditions-great-bowler-wrong-conditions-crap-bowler. Anyway. My favourite fast bowler in the World for some time now.

I wouldn't disagree with you here. Yet, it does make an interesting question why a bowler averaging mid 30s (at that time) was well cemented!

Cheers! On the edit that is :) . I simply can't remeber WHY I thought Anderson should go at that time. I only remember thinking he wasn't what England needed.

2009/2010. Indeed when Flintoff (and Harmison) was gone and Swann just there. Not sure Anderson's place was that well cemented. I really don't have any proper idea about that.

Fair enough. It's just that I remember England in SA several years ago. To me, it seemed completely ridiculous to stick with Jimmey at that time. But the England selectors did. I guess they were right. Or just lucky

Not an all-time-great. But credit to him. That's impressive!

What I find most impressive about Jimmey is that he has (nearly) 400 wickets at 30 a piece (indeed no comparrison with the true greats like McGrath, Ambrose, Marshall or whomever), whereas his average used to be what...... 37 or so halfway his career? He is possibly the most improving/improved...

So far, so good! Taylor to Cook, OUT, full length a foot outside off, Cook pushes firmly at it and edges to gully! So now the England captain goes. It's a really full delivery but two feet wide of off stump, absolutely no need for Cook to play at this but he poked at it and got a thick...

Benn to take a 5for, after the quicks have dismissed the top order  .

Not at all, I'd say. But that wouldn't mean there won't be a slogfest. Honestly, I hardly know Blackwood. The sensible thing to do imho, would be to trust Roach and Taylor to hold up a wicket for a while.

Well, there it is. But with Holder gone two balls later, it's still England firmly in the lead. I'm curious what Blackwood will do now. Wouldn't be too surprised of tries to slog his way to wherever, from this point.

Like Matt Prior's batting? Fair enough then, I guess.

Jermaine Blackwood looks decent enough, not? He can bowl a bit too. Why wasn't he in the ODI side?
