Why wasn't Moeen Ali playing? Was Rashid ahead of him? Is Rashid any good in FCC? And possibly a promising Test cricketer? I had pretty much forgotten about Rashid, but he was impressive with bat and ball.

He's good! I've been wondering before. Is he really Test Average 50+ good and ODI average 40+ good? Going to be an ATG?

How save is Morgan's position in England's ODI team? He had a dreadful WC as batsman, not? How is he rated as a captain?

Generally....... Perhaps! But I have been shown a lack of information present, beyond belief really, so many times. Professional top sport can be surprisingly amateursitic.

I like this post! I'm not sure I agree with it 100%, but I do agree with its concept: From a bowler's point of view, cricket is very very much a brain game. We may add captaincy / field placement to it. The whole point, imho, is that plans should start really simple. Three years ago, I was...

Just checked some stats: it's the middle order indeed. He has nearly as many tests as Cook, but far fewer innings.

Hmmm, did I just jinx Clarke? Anyway, if this Test wants to get interesting, it's good Aussie wickets are falling.

How is it that Michael Clarke averages 50+, has been in the Test Team since 2004, but has 'only' 8450 runs?

Wow.... I had a busy day and have checked the score twice. At 51/1 and just now at 53/2. Took me a while to realise it's not the same innings.

"If McGrath doesn't step on that ball, we win the Ashes. Probably 5-0"

More or less what I wanted to say. The England attack was all over the Australian batsmen. And Warne arguably had his greatest series ever. Easy to forget in a lost series.

Am I the only one here to think it was 99% Broad stupidity and 1% KW brilliance? Not regarding the sand storm.....

*Official* New Zealand in England 2015

Nonsense. He will get out this way. Way, way, way before there is the slightest idea of winning.......... I can't take a look in Broad's head, but I strongly think he can gain far, far, far more convidence from sticking it out for 30 overs than hoicking a quick fifty.

Broad just figured out that 275 is doable in 40 overs in modern cricket? Or what?

    Why don't fifties remain fifties?
