**Official** Sri Lanka in England and Ireland 2016

He's on a mission to milk as many runs from Ali, as Ali got in his innings.

Let's see if Herath can get towards his highscore (80). It would be quite something to get that in CLS in May!

Did he even touch it? Not even a drop then.....

Was Herath just compared to Lara????

LOL at the guy at the ground that's dying from frost.

Unibet has a Sri Lankan 2nd innings score of 390.5 as 50/50. That's roughly the same as an innings win for England. Exact odds are 1.88 (or 22/25).

Great indeed sounds overdone. But 300/5 is simply a very nice 3rd innings score. Nearly always.

The Do's and Dont's of watching a Test live at the ground

What HZ said. IIRC, I have been able to bring my own beverages to the Oval once. Not sure I was allowed to do so. At Lord's it's fine, due to the picknick tradition. Exact info should be found on the tickets or website. As for commentary: you can bring your own radio. Sounds a bit old...

I didn't have an opportunity to watch anyhting after the Sri Lankans lost their 2nd wicket for 40 (or so) runs. Just checked the score. What a difference a day makes! Is there any chance they will save this with the help of some rain?

I think asking for 200+ is a bit over the top. But yeah, Joe Root seems like the guy that gets out in the 70s or 80s when you don't expect it.

    Now, there's a wicket I didn't see coming.

Quinton de Kock played a proper match sinking innings. Consuming half of the balls available for for just over a run-a-ball is a pretty sure way to lose in this format at this ground. Might I even sugest that if his wicket was reversed for overstepping, DD would have ended with fewer runs, as...

Is Broad now better than Anderson?

Not enough then? Once upon a time, Jimmy was a very useful bowler when conditions suited him, but rather useless otherwise. Consequently, he picked up his first 100 wickets at 35 (or so). I can't say if there ever was a clear cut point in his career where het got it, but to me it's a rather...

Who has the biggest cricket bat on the forum?

I might not have the biggest bat, but I certainly do have the biggest middle stump..... ....., I can't believe I'm posting this.....

Hmmmmm, considering these two days of Test play, my initial enthousiasm has suffered from rational thought. This is, despite the performances of Alex, Jonny, Sjoerd & Jimmy, a crap Test. Way, way too one-sided.

Under the radar he went, but Jonny did well behind the wicket as well.

I've been missing proper cricket so much, that I can't even be bothered to switch over to India for mini-cricket, during this bad light break :) .

Adding salt to my wounds here? Anyway, I rate Chandimal. Wouldn't be surprised to see him around for 10 more years.
