Check out Blair Soper, must have gone bush for a couple seasons (judging by his hair). Bennett's wickets look great, has changed his action a fair bit, looking a bit look Mitch from the front there, although not as smooth.

    1st Match - India v New Zealand (15th March)

They're playing on a dust bowl with 0 grass by the sounds of it, surely would be silly to take 3 specialists seamers and 2 spinners considering what happened in those SA games last year? Southee and Boult are hardly untouchable on current form, I'd go; Guppy KW Munro Taylor Anderson Ronchi...

Will Young/Macewell to open? Wow you must not rate Raval at all. Who's your 5? Nicholl's?

What would your test batting line up be? Hard to see many better options ATM to be fair.

Nothing wrong with having a grafter in the test side at the top of the order to take the shine off, that's their most important job. I'm thinking Tim McIntosh here, but instead of being a mid 30's averaging domestic opener, a guy with a much healthier record for scoring runs with age still on...

Don't forget Colin Maiden Oval plus a year or 2 playing for CD, and playing away from home every second game... Colin is a mid order bully, opening is the toughest job in cricket. Pretty easy to nick of early with a shiny cherry, even on a road. Martin Guptill is hardly showing his skills at...

Jeet Raval would have to have the best FC record from any NZ opener to be have been overlooked for a BC's call up. Probably from any batting position. Averaging over 43 with 13 Hundreds is good reading. The guy knows how to get big runs.

Young can't score hundys.. Much like NZ players of the past funnily enough. Shame, if he could have converted a couple more 100's this year he may have jumped Nicholl's (don't think either are just ready yet).

Kippax, can you explain your Nathan Smith to Wellington goss? Is it likely to happen, or are you being hopeful.. Arnel surely is gone next year, and with no NZ quality bowlers at all in their lineup, he would be helpful!

Southee another over? Surely now is the time to be aggressive and change him for Henry. He's not swinging it or bowling pace, give Henry the ball when it's new.

Yeah fair call, if these guys can score runs as freely as they have, anything less than 250 will be done in a canter (unless Southee and Boult miraculously swing the ball again..).

Southee at 8, against the new ball... WTF. Surely Hess/Baz can acknowledge Wagner and Henry have far more robust techniques to justify batting above the heartless slogger. I dont like that, shows that just because you are a senior player you can do what ever you want. Southee is lucky to even...

We need a couple good partnerships. The reverse swing is bloody worrying. Why can't we do that  I think Aussie are too good to let it slip.

Look at Raval's profile on Cricinfo and his previous scores, pretty incredible turn of form.. He knows how to score hundreds though, something not very common in NZ cricket. Would love to back it up in the final rounds, that would really push his claim.

We beat Aus in the ODI's, why don't we just keep playing that way? Keep going Baz, still need 300+..

Guptill Latham Williamson Nicholls McCullum Anderson Watling/Ronchi.. Craig Henry Southee Boult Bracewell and Wags to sit out IMO. Would have been really nice to play Anderson and Santner. Not sold on Nicholls, still pretty fresh but probably deserves a shot above anyone else.
