***Official*** Australia in South Africa + South Africa in Australia 2016/17

Man this is a huge meltdown! What happens if there is another thrashing?? Drop them all again? In a pink ball test, I guess anything can happen. Mennie looked very average, surprised a right arm medium pacer can make the Australian test side. Seemed like an all rounder who can't bat. Not...

**** bowling. Southee at 120kph. Boult and Wagner trying to bounce out the opposition.. Yawn. It's such a negative tactic, especially with singles all round the ground. Sohail looking like a guy averaging 40, not 10.

Nicholls gone. Not surprised, his footwork looks soo slow, he just doesn't look test level to me. Looks like a walking LBW.

C de Grandhomme.. 1 big score gets you into the team.. I don't understand what he brings, that Neesham doesn't. He's a 30yo+ flat track slogger with 130k 4th seamer. Feel a little sorry for Henry, they must think it will flatten out.

New Zealand A: Jeet Raval (Auckland), Dean Brownlie (Northern Districts), Henry Nicholls (Canterbury, captain), Will Young (Central Districts), Bharat Popli (Northern Districts), Colin de Grandhomme (Auckland), Tom Blundell (Wellington), Todd Astle (Canterbury), Ed Nuttall (Canterbury), Lockie...

Cachopa should go to Otago, their batting order looks flat (including imported "could have beens," AKA Kitchen and Wilson). They've been victims of having no depth. Auckland finally look to have a little young talent in their side, with Phillips, O'Donnell and Chapman hanging around. For...

Man, game over, toss lost. Same story for NZ. Even when we win the toss we make the wrong call (referring to the South African test..). Can see India going big, then Ashwin bowling us out twice

I'm currently expecting our 3 pie bowling spinners to get carted, and our top to collapse and expose our endless middle-lower order early IMO. These guys are bred on these wickets, get hundreds for fun at state level against (most likely) better spin attacks. These pitches are ideal to expose...

Hmm classic Wheeler. Real shame, hope it's just a niggle. Ferguson? Hope he was just rested. Would love to see Lockie carry on his form from last season, could be a bolter for limited overs cricket, especially if (when) Milne gets an injury later in summer.

Possibly, showed signs in Plunket shield that he can score runs. Will only take a few big scores to sort out his averages. I just hope NZ Cricket will not be debuting guys who haven't performed at Domestic Cricket, because they have potential. But I guess Sodhi, Santner and Nicholls (in test...

Well he needs to perform at Domestic Level first. He averages 13 in One Dayers, which would hardly be putting the selectors under pressure..

Na, not really. A couple guys on the scene can push into the 140's (Lockie Ferguson, Scott Kuggles). Other than that, either young promising quicks or 130-140 fast mediums.

Raval and Henry dropped, Neesh back. FFS.. Can't see how Braces gets a gig in front of Matt Henry, hasn't taken wickets or got runs. Guptill will be make or break, can't see him doing much currently. With no back up batsmen, I can't see this ending well.

I'm thinking the same thing about Auckland, but they have no bowlers. Other than Ferguson, there's not many teeth there. Surely they have some talent coming through in the bowling ranks.. Or is it a bit of a political selection policy up there (players from certain schools/clubs over others)?

Raval Lath Kane Rossco Gupy Wats Santa Ish Wags Boult Southee I just can't see Nicholls as test quality yet. ODI squad player for sure, but even then he isn't 100% certainty IMO. Ravs deserves his shot. Guptill to 5 cures 2 head aches for us, potentially. Takes over Baz's spot nicely. If...

Auckland surely have a touch of talent to call on in the grades, rather than mediocre non NZ eligible trundlers.. Van Braak? I think that's his name..

Disappointing considering his age, but he's a lanky 125KM-130KM trundler at the moment. At 23 He surely has some development in him, but I wont be losing sleep. Jamieson is similar but 3 years younger.

Leopard is an exciting prospect, no doubt. He's only 18 straight out of school, of course he will be batting low for his new club team.. All the old buggers will be pulling rank no doubt. The fact he also bowls pushes him further down the order. His bowling looks pretty standard medium pacer...

Classic youth overlook for Wellington? Talking about Sears.. Probably has an injury on his lanky frame.
