Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

Drawing analogies, and diverting to another fascinating case in a different sport, how would be Nadal or Sampras for that matter rated in tennis history since we know comparing to other champions - the first is red soil specialist and the latter never fared better there, in fact Sampras never...

Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

Say one has played only one match in Australia, then one in England, made a century in each and only got to bat only once, their average would stand at around 140 in each of these country(given both scores are 140 plus) , that would massively skew their average even if they have played many...

    Steve Waugh vs Rahul Dravid

Dravid because of his batting up the order means facing tougher situations because of new ball.

    Donald Bradman's average

Speaking of other sports if darts is considered one, than there was an English guy who won many championships, his name was Phil I guess.

Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

That was a seven match one day series, no other batsman in both teams could make a century other than Sehwag (who made two) on such menacing tracks.

Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

@Xuhaib ,Not totally, check this fourth inning scorecard , characteristically dominated by Sehwag when on full song against Australia in Australia, scored a match saving 151 runs when the second best individual score was 20 runs, mind you he was returning into the team after being dropped so...

Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

I remember watching that match Andrew Hall with an expressionless face chewing gum, looked cool as cucumber sending down medium pace balls all at the toes of batsmen one after another great bowling that was at the death.

Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

Sehwag had a period where he scored 11 centuries had all 11 scores of more than 150 runs a record which still stands I guess, this goes on to show once he was set he won't get out before executing the total demolition of opposition.

Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

When a batsman with good or more agressive strike rate bats it rubs on the whole situation of the match, a bowler who was earlier looking so tight and in control suddenly starts to look mediocre and start making unforced/forced errors and it puts batting side in ascendance, that guy will be the...

Best Test opener of the 21st Century?

I voted for Sehwaag because of the impact he used to have on matches, when he fired India would naturally come in the driver seat of the match because of the sheer rate he used to score runs, he was a type of player who would change the course of a test match in a session or two

Who is the best limited over spinner of all time

For a spinner Pat Symcox was also very economical for his time although he always had huge bowling and fielding support with him.

Who is the best limited over spinner of all time

Who has been the best limited over international bowler in both 50 overs and t20 cricket?

Pick a World XI to play against Australia (test only).

Hutton Gavaskar, Richards, Sobers, Lara, Sachin, Sangakara, Imran, Hadlee, Marshall, Ambrose/ Murali - depending upon conditions.

Kapil, Vaas, or Streak? (Best bowler)

Larsen was one of my fav. but he was dependant upon conditions and mostly bowled outside of field restrictions, had he been made to bowl during first ten overs during 90s when the innings really started to explode his stats could have been different, Vaas was vey good in Odi's at one time just...

What is your ranking of all Country's ATG XIs?

I think they have enough bowlers who can bat and a great batting allrounder in Kallis , also a wicketkeeper allrounder as AbDv, a bowling Shoun Pollock, no other team can boast of such qualities, than Proctor etc.

What is your ranking of all Country's ATG XIs?

I think like 90's South Africa has so many Allrounders in their team in history that they can boast of having the most flexible all time side on the planet.
