the don was apparentally a very gifted sportsmen - can't remember hardly any of them that i've read but the one that stuck in mind, was winning South Australia table tennis tournament.

    Shane Warne's return

one of the most interesting things of this summer will be whether Warne comes back into the Australian team. I almost certainly wouldn't think he'lll go straight into the team without a couple of grades games or shield games. If MacGill carves up this summer it could be curtains for Warney -...

Acceptable economy rates in FC cricket

In longer form of cricket, RPO is the third prioirity a long way after average and wickets taken. I'd rather see someone get 5/120 of 25 overs than 2/65 of 25. In the short term though it is obviousbly a different story.

    Great Brother Combinations.....

One thing I noticed looking at the Waugh Twins records today, they have nearly notched up 50 000 FC runs between them. And it got me thinking, would this be the record for the most FC runs by brothers? To be exact, between the three Waugh brothers (Dean being the other one, who only...

**Official** 'My Current World XI' Thread

really!!! that would be awesome. do you have a link anywhere, I'd love to have a read, and what are the chance of the ICC managing to get the best or close to the best Rest of the World team, rather than just the best 11 who were happy to play.

**Official** 'My Current World XI' Thread

I'm gonna exclude Australian players, and pick a test team to play Australia. first man picked would be Shoaib Akhtar. followed by Vaughan, Tendulkar, Singh, Murali and Lara. The other five spots are fairly difficult to pick, but Pollock picks himself, although he never seems to give Australia...

Craig's method to improve County Cricket

as I've said thousands of time, the best bet is to reduce the amount of FC players around, by reducing the teams to 12 counties. and reduce the amount of games. You guys just need to get rid of these guys who pick up 300-400 FC wickets, play FC coutnry cricket for 7 or 8 years, and just never...

    Damien Martyn in trouble

well we don't know what happened, but in each scenario, it really doesn't matter for us. If a) he did send these messages than: - his wife leaves him and that is for us to deal with. It really has no bearing on anyone outside his circle of family and friends. b) he didn't send those messages...

*Official* South Africa in England Thread

well done to England - a vastly improved performance. They did all the damage on day one, and just hung in from there and deserved the win. Well done to Kirtley - I haven't been his biggest fan, but he really put in the hard yards in that second dig. will be interesting to see if he goe's on...

    Neil Harvey........

if he continues to bat as well as he has been over the last six months, then why shouldn't he be able to do that.....

    Neil Harvey........

I think if Waugh's playing good enough then who he should be in the team. The best XI should always be picked for the team, regardless of the age. Whether they are 18 or 38, if they're good enough they're the right age.

After the Don, who is Australia's best cricketer...

what about Steve Waugh and Glenn McGrath?? They've both been playing for 10 or so years..... Whilst Gilly and Hayden are seemingly quite a fair way infront of anyone else in their position.

*Official* South Africa in England Thread

yea I woulda thought he would too - it's very hard for a skipper to remain in a team after giving up that role. Just for any of the Enlighs fellas here, anyone care to give a bit of description of some of the guys i mentioned above...Ed Smith, Michael Lumb, Mark Wagh, Tim Ambrose, Steve Kirby...

    Neil Harvey........

anyone else think he has an absolute huge chip on his shoulder??? He obviousbly has a major disliking for Steve Waugh, and feels extremely insecure about the 1948 team in terms of their place in Australia's cricket history after the current teams fantastic achievements in recent years. During...
