*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

Are the comparisons drawn not based on the amount of interest and anticipation the series has produced around the country? Also the tense and competitive nature of each completed Test? Think it’s been much more captivating and exciting than the 2009 and 2019 series and closer to 2005 than...

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

A compelling series between two very well matched sides (at least in this country). What’s made it captivating for me is the continual shift in momentum during each day, barring this last Test at OT. I don’t think there’s been much between the sides at all which is why I feel even more...

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

Yes agree the Lyon injury offered up a few difficult problems but players like Cummins where a lot has been asked of them lately seemed to be running on empty.

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

Yes looking increasingly unlikely that this Test is going to see anymore cricket today. Such a shame a really competitive and compelling series is going to ultimately be decided by the weather and deny us a showpiece shoot-out at the Oval. Not that the Aussies will be complaining and I don’t...

Yes he simply had take the criticism on the chin and for the highest level of cricket his wicket-keeping hasn’t been at the requisite standard regardless of any other factors and it has cost England at times. I don’t think people not understanding the extent of his injury is the problem it’s the...

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

I’ve been listening to a few snippets of Bairstow's interview and press conferences last night hitting back at criticism over his performances by suggesting people have never asked how his ankle is and how difficult it is returning from such an injury. All of which I’m sure is true, it seemed a...

Much brighter in and around Manchester now! Hopefully the overnight and morning rain hasn’t done too much damage.

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

Yes weather looks ominous right now, just been raining fairly heavily here and I’m about 20 mins from OT. Still very overcast but hopefully we’ll still get a decent amount of overs in today.

Yes completely agree on Cummins, he needs to find something from somewhere. No hiding place when you’re skipper, he’s having to play every Test, be the main man with the ball, skipper the side under intense scrutiny, he just looked shot yesterday. His dropped catch would not normally happen if...

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

Great day yesterday for England and much needed given the precarious state of the series and the forecast on Saturday in particular. Delighted for Crawley, not sure it was any different to the majority of the innings that he’s played. He looked in fine touch early, played some glorious strokes...

    Such an un-Crawley like dismissal!!🙄

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

On a day where reviews could be crucial, Duckett‘s review of a straightforward decision was ridiculous!

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

I get the sense today is not going to be straightforward for either side!! Expect us to lose a few wickets early on putting a win in serious doubt before some middle order rescue act (not Stokes this time) and then hopefully edging over the line with the tail, or not as the case may be. Ashes...

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

That is the most positive light! While some of those observations are well made, my main concern is our ability to chase anything like a testing total against their attack. We really need to turn up this first session and have a really strong session so we’re chasing something around the 200...

Durham’s lovely, I love it. Lots of quirky little places to get a beer and some decent grub.

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Surely people would rather watch high quality fast bowling and high quality cricket than trying to squeeze the required overs in, whether you paid for your ticket or not. As long as they don’t waste so much time they’re only getting 60 overs in!

That is just done for pure pace!!!! What a ripper!

Yes he looks threatening and haven’t seen Marnus so uncomfortable. However, you’re right mate, he’s a fraction short so it looks good fizzing through to Bairstow but just needs to be a tad fuller to get closer to the edge.

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

It‘s going to be a feisty atmosphere and a pitch with a bit in it should make for an exhilarating Test! I’m sure there’ll be passages where one or both of them resort to the short pitched bowling tactic, which for me was not a great watch but effective for both teams. Looking forward to seeing...
