Shearer was quality at pens, just had a tendency to blast it with the laces.

While we're on the topic.. if I had to pick any prem player to take a penalty to save my life it would have to be James Milner.

For a long time there he was cold as ice from the spot, probably still is. Yaya on that list is no surprise, he'd be my second choice.

I hate that Salah takes ours, he has never filled me with any sort of confidence. Messi aside, there's something about left foot penalty takers that I really dislike.

And you never had to live through Chris Waddle and Stuart Pearce!!

I absolutely the hate the wrongun for so many reasons, but if I wanted a penalty taker for my life, Le Tissier would be it.

I totally forgot Mario Balotelli.

For all his faults he too was an elite penalty taker. Didn't take many for us but I recall a fair few quality ones for Italy, Milan, and Nice.

Edit: that just reminded me of a save Mattia Perrin made from a Balotelli pen while at Genoa. Talk about promising talents that never eventuated into anything, Perrin is still kicking around Juventus now at 32yo after being capped for Italy in 2014 at ~21yo. 2 Italy caps to his name. Crazy.

Of all the penalty takers I've watched for us - I'd take Mario. The one against Tottenham in injury time after he'd just stomped on Scott Parker's face is one of my favourite Prem memories.

Yeah, no idea how Skipper managed to miss him from his team of the year, virtually one the first names on the sheet.

Obviously glad that Palace won, but how Henderson avoided red is a joke. What is the point of VAR if it cannot fix such obvious errors as that?

Worth a watch from the 14:20 mark - on the Rice ToTY debate.

The comments are pretty resounding that Caicedo should be in there too.

End of the day bunch of YouTubers so who really cares about their opinions, but it goes to show (along with the comments) that Rice isn't one of the first names on the sheet. Even the Arsenal rep on that panel thinks Rice shouldn't be there.

Good ****ing riddance Ruben, absolute fraud of a manager.
You can blame him for picking Mount and Casemiro against a Prem team. You can’t blame him for it looking like spurs had an extra player because they wanted to win more.

You can’t win trophies with a dodgy keeper.

Oh yeah keeper is poor, but tonight he once again failed. Rasmus has no business starting tonight , let alone lasting 70 minutes and his punt on Mount LOL.

Overall its been a diabolical season and the football absolute filth.

Some geeks will say "who can do better" ,,ffs even if you want to pick just from the premier league their are numerous options.

the silver lining to no Europe is lost revenue for the Glazers. Both from the loss of CL and iirc this will trigger sponsor issues. Adidas has a clause in their contract about European football.

Spurs have been really bad so that just shows Utd’s level
Both teams have been much better in Europe though. Tottenham have played a much more balanced game and you don't beat a team like Bilbao 7-1 on aggregate without having something going on. Bilbao are 4th in La Liga and Man U outplayed and out-thought them over the 2 legs.

What a fantastic result for football.

I hope Ange walks away from Spurs now with his pride, legacy and dignity intact. For all the criticism he took he delivered exactly what he said he would. It is the perfect time to leave England and go find a more meaningful challenge.

United fans, your manager is a fraud and your club is now even more of a laughing stock. Long may this continue.
