hmmm 3 medals in one games any way never thought we will get 3 was thinking that would get one at max

Do we have any other genuine hopes for a medal? I guess three exceeds all expectations so not too unhappy about it.

Vijender lost his bout and has to settle for bronze. That's it India wise in this Olympic then. Not a bad effort at all when one considers the history. The shooting team disappointed overall though as I expected more medals from them.

Seriously this Olympic games should wake-up sports administrators across India and government should also encourage other talented athletes and their sports, great we won 3 medals and every Indian is happy, but those 3 medals came because of the hard-work and somewhere down the line due to the luck of these 3 athletes, the government has hardly supported them, when the games arrive every Indian expects a medal , and if someone wins a medal we treat him/her like a hero, and the money starts to pour in for that athlete, but its rather important that these very athletes are financially backed at the grass-root levels so they get the required infrastructure to sharpen their skills, so that when they participate at the games they are able to come up with their best, and if other sports are encouraged, more and more young kids would also take those sports as a profession.
