    Stella doesn't really have that rep here. It's a bit more expensive here than it is there due to the EU free trade laws so it's more seen as a bit of a tryhard imported toff beer than one that causes violence and rage. VB's reputation is more that of the beer of choice for violent, wife-abusing bogans than a beer that causes that behaviour like Stella in the UK, but it's along the same lines, yeah. :p

    Our biggest selling beer is called "Victoria Bitter", and even that's considered a lager. It's just a bitter comparatively speaking...

    Hahaha. Well all the major beers in Australia are lagers so when I think beer, that's what I think of. I think I'd actually prefers ale if not for that fact though.

    Haha yeah true; that's why I steer clear of Heineken. A good drop, but I think it's one of those beers that derives a lot of its reputation from its high price than the other way around. I got given a keg of Heineken for Christmas from a family member though and was quite annoyed when I'd finished it and had to go back to Australian beer, so it's probably just one of those I rant about for no real reason. :ph34r:

    Oh we do (although I'm pretty sure our top 10 sellers or so are all lagers) but they are all different brand names so it'd mean nothing to you. I suppose I could've just told you to get a lager or a bitter or an ale etc but I thought you were looking for something more specific than that. :p

    We don't even have the same beers as you though; I wasn't a great person to ask. I picked Stella because it's international so I knew it'd be an option, and I like it. I don't mind Heineken but it's massively over-priced for what it is so I'm not going to suggest that. I've had Carling once and I didn't mind that, so that's my final answer.
