  • G'day Martin,

I am in London. If you have a chance to meet give me a call 0414 45 1189

    Cheers Sean

PS I can't work my gmail!!!!!!!
I know someone who works in a bookstore in Bridgetown, will ask if they have it or would be able to sourse it.
It is remarkably tempting. Although I don't see many agreeing with that declaration any time soon, as mistaken as they clearly are.
Feel your pain Fred about Beefy. I wish Waqar also had retired after his injury and he could have been the Bradman of bowlers (but then I wouldn't have seen him play live).
Good, and to bring that subject up again, my father would have loved to see her die, ho-hum, life is scripted poorly at times.

Still think that pic of sutcliffe and hobbs walking out to bat shows all the reasons that cricket is a game that has an honour and a nuance which can only be shared by lovers of the sport. Learnt from my dad that you shouldn't be ashamed of this feeling, but more pity the others who don't feel it.

It's all about being patriotic about a decent sense of values, fair play, never complaining attitude, compared to an undecent, dog-eat-dog, whinnying about people lower than you on the strata, begrudging nastiness.

Thatch wasn't a cricket fan was she?

    ho-hum
hope my praise wasn't a bit patronising, just read it back, and thought it may be.
Cool. I love myself a bit of local history, and I emailed the Berkshire Historical Society months ago about it. I'd forgotten, but the secretary recently emailed me back asking if I'd got an answer.
Hey Fred, did you ask whether first class cricket has ever been played in Berkshire in the "Ask Monk" thread I started when I was drunk?
That's a good enough reason I guess. But I have to say he is a dick of the highest order. He insults people, refuses to listen to their view point and recently labelled me as a Taliban supporter despite the fact that I hate them and have said it numerous times in OT.
Fred, check your cricsim PMs if you get a minute. Can't get on email at the min as I am away and phoneless.
Hey, I was wondering if you'd ever done a feature on Herb Sutcliffe? I've looked but can't seem to find one.
Hah he was that for cricket and football fans, btw you posted your last reply on your wall, not mine, I do it all the time.

The bloke we talked to was ideal, very similar to dad, High school bloke, who got a scholarship to a posh school despite a poor upbringing, loved cricket, this guy had trials for warwickshire, and lower division west-country football, supports bristol rovers.

Anyway have wiped your replies from my page, don't want people to feel sorry for me, life goes on and I'll be as abrasive as ever, as was my dad.
