think we spent our tank with those wins, doesn't help our 3 best middle defenders all missed this week after being knocked out last weekHow the Dragons have managed to beat the Raiders and Sharks in recent weeks is a mystery.
yep was at least a meter forward, and how tf was their bloke not sent to the sin bin for the deliberate ruck interference on their line?Anyone else catch that the pass for Johnston’s try was a mile forward? Not that they’d dare take it off him
Haven't lost a game in regulation for 3 months. They'll be fine come finals because they can shift gears for playoff games like no other.**** me. 2 weeks in a row run down by our two biggest rivals for the finals. Not good signs
Still its enough to set me on edge. Need to beat the Bulldogs at least otherwise we’ll have lost to the top 3 teams in the last 3 weeks.Haven't lost a game in regulation for 3 months. They'll be fine come finals because they can shift gears for playoff games like no other.
It’s the most open comp in years. Last night only reinforced that.canberra finding ways to win but they're the most fraudulent ways possible which gives me no confidence in them come finals
melbourne needing the bulldogs to sleep for the first twenty minutes, piss away a pair of tries and be dudded out of a third by a shithouse rule
panthers exposed as not being as clutch as they were in years past
doggies pretend that every game doesn't start until kurt mann comes on and have a coach who insists on playing around with the critta and kiraz combo for no reason
every team in the four has big flaws, the comp is wide open
i think that the coming from behind thing shows strength when it’s against the panthers or manly but to your point in the next paragraph when you keep having to bail yourself out against teams like the tigers and knights and dragons it’s indicative of something more endemic imho; but to you and burgey’s point i love their forward pack tapine and big papa are awesome and they’re great for the game too. but i just dont believe in their backline at all reallyI think Canberra winning close games from behind is actually to their credit. A reverse from the old faders days. They also produce or pick out young players who then become top performers. This team has Weekes, Strange and Savage and brought on Timoko and Kris. They have to do this because they can’t buy a team like Easts can. They’re also good at keeping players like Papa and Tapine so the team has the feel of an old style club based on loyalty. Tapine, btw, is my pick as the game’s best prop. Every game from him is quality and effort.
My concerns is that they let teams get the drop on them and you can’t keep getting out of gaol. Maybe their youth will ironically count against them in the finals. I hope not. Would be great to see them get up and it would make second son very happy. He might wear his jersey until the end of summer. He’s worn it all winter as is.
I think that’s the worry. I’ve seen them a few times this year and they struggled for a long while against the knights and dolphins. I’m guessing that could be a consequence of a young team being inconsistent. Whatever the reason it’s a worry.i think that the coming from behind thing shows strength when it’s against the panthers or manly but to your point in the next paragraph when you keep having to bail yourself out against teams like the tigers and knights and dragons it’s indicative of something more endemic imho; but to you and burgey’s point i love their forward pack tapine and big papa are awesome and they’re great for the game too. but i just dont believe in their backline at all really
