@kyear2 anything you wanna tell me about the declaration brother?
It looks horrible in hindsight, but his intent was to go for the win and make the game interesting.

I much prefer that over the negative captaincy I saw last week with field placing and the delayed declaration.

From all I've read that was also the way Hutton captained and it's not something I would advocate for.

What does potentially disqualify him from captaincy was his propensity to over bowl himself and the partying example to his team.
The declaration bothers me less.

I would definitely take a draw in that situation.

Hammond vs Kallis could be the only close point in this round
I doubt it. Likely the team will end up with both of them. Kallis is close enough to the next batters in line (who they are exactly may vary depending on who you ask) that his bowling and fielding makes him an almost certainty for the last extra spot. Imran and Knott will likely take the other spots.

You could go Hammond+Miller
Miller averaged 37, and a soft one at that in test cricket.

I would strenuously argue that is no way suitable for the no. 6 position in an AT XI, especially with hopefully Knott taking the gloves at 7.

The batting is way too weak.

Exactly.
