*Official* Australia Tour of West Indies 2025

Darwin Award

State 12th Man
Genuinely don't want anyone to break our record. We almost did it to England in 2018, they were 23-8 (or 8-23 as you flogs say)
Oh well.... these things do happen.

Australia, under Ricky Ponting and some great players were 9 for 21 against South Africa before they managed to double their total to 47 and Lyon top scored in the end whilst batting at Number 11.

Floyd Reifer should resign
Darren Sammy should resign

Only Ravi Rampaul is safe making our bowling almost world class
Ravi Rampaul has the much easier job. These guys are athletes, the Windies are generally always going to have bowlers of ability while the area still cares about cricket.

Whoever the batting coach is, is on a hiding to nothing. No kid in the Windies wants to be Kraigg Brathwaite or bat sessions.

Reifer. The Bajan scamp man.

Where the fk do WI go from here?

Couldn’t blame their bowlers for chasing the money as the batting is atrocious and nobody is watching anyway
They should go to Zimbabwe. Zim is keen for tests (playing heaps this year) and hopefully the WI batters could learn to bat time and build some confidence.

Slightly better? Significantly better. You have a good pace attack. You need to prepare pitches (both in tests and first class) where your batsmen can at least survive.
Trouble is, these guys need a road to survive, thus nullifying the pacers.

But yes, that would be a start. The pitches in the regional season were a little better this year, resulting in a lot of runs. So it is possible.

So Smith's 48 in the first dig is the highest individual score in the game. Has there ever been a game where the highest individual player score is lower than that?
Wow, you'd have to think it's rare that no player passed 50 in a completed four-innings Test match.

One of the NZ-India tests from 2002 would be a shout, I don't remember if anyone made 50s in those.

Yep, in the below Test, the highest score was Dravid's 39:

Not sure we can pick some of those guys again though. It was that bad. I honestly have no idea what they can do. Chuck Rutherford in? Being Da Silva back? Chuck Jewel in? I don't think anything will help, we have a generational batting crisis. Chase is captain so we have to pick an absolute dud at number 5 in perpetuity.

Slightly better pitches would help make things slightly less embarrassing.
Embrace the Calypso roots , get a coach who understands how to implement Bazball and play an attacking brand of cricket , the Orthodox way does not work with West Indies anymore, need to find the fun again in Test cricket. That's my thoughts

You’d have got decent odds on Australia rolling any side for that score without Pat Cummins rolling the arm over
