I don't think anything will help, we have a generational batting crisis. Chase is captain so we have to pick an absolute dud at number 5 in perpetuity.

Slightly better pitches would help make things slightly less embarrassing.

Lara played in a T20 game in NZ last summer (Black Clash) and was diabolically bad. Mind you, seeing four Windies guys got golden ducks, he would have been a like-for-like replacement

My biggest issue with JFM is that I have real doubts as to whether he could survive if he stopped slogging at everything as he’s never shown the remotest semblance of a defensive side

Definitely struggle to see how Floyd can carry on. He has been batting coach throughout. Though he does not have much to work with.
