3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

This is what I was talking about with lack of mental toughness. If they had gotten to this point with wickets in hand, the target was very chaseable. But that shot from Jaiswal, that leave from Nair etc - just crap. Not to mention first innings run out and Rahul lazy shot - those mistakes were worth more than the 58 runs here. And that’s not being outskilled - that’s just all mental.

It will be a lot more painful if we lost with target being under 20 runs.
Oh the game's gone but I'm just keeping one eye on the rest of the series. It would've been even worse if we had just completely capitulated here but at least there's some willingness to gut it out.

TBF Nair misjudging a ball doesn't really have much to do with mental toughness.

Mad that Bashir's not come back on to bowl given we've turned to spin. They're using the injury as an excuse to nuke him. The injury's on his non-bowling hand, he could easily bowl if Stokes wanted him to. Dawson to play the next Test.
