Root was bowling when that Cummins/Lyon stand just got going and Cummins took him downtown. Big risk, but I'd be tempted to try something different.

Wasn't the really big blunder that day taking the new ball? That game had been weird in that the new ball had consistently been the best time to bat and, more pertinently, the best time to score. Immediately backfired and ended the game in like five overs.

I know we yell at Australia for refusing to bowl full and straight at the tail, but I think England need to change things up a bit against Bumrah; his defence is looking too solid.

They aren't getting a great look at Bumrah though in fairness. Need to try and get a full over at him and starve Jadeja of an easy single off the 4th or 5th ball.
