3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Coz he can defend better. That was an all timer of a catch by Jofra though. This has just been a perfect little session for England, everything they have touched has turned to gold. When its the deciding session of the test, that is always handy. :)

And inspite of the obviously false moaning by moanhill and jerking by tjb, I think the injury to Pant has cost us quite a bit in this test. For starters, there would have been fewer byes and legbyes down the legside as he is especially good at cutting those off and there would have obviously been more runs.

That said, I think we lost the game when we did not bat for a big enough lead in the first dig (the Pant run out and the Rahul wicket were needless and our tail was blown away without a fight too, Akash's shot esp. stupid). And England won the game by really being pumped up in this last innings, much like the 2021 test and really getting everything on the deck.
He's a better bat than the guys who came ahead of him - basically a no.6 coming in at no.8. Just need to see off Archer.

Whatever it takes!!!
Nair just isn't cut out for it at this level. Jaiswal's shot was an absolute shocker though, not sure what he was thinking.
Yeah the guy who can bat cant catch and the guy who can catch cant bat. :( I still think will give Nair the series. The thing about Bazball is they always come down harder after a great win like this one. So maybe OT will do the trick for us.

what are we talking about here?
I have no idea what you're talking about. India haven't been perfect but they've played extended periods of excellent cricket. The entirety of the bowling performance yesterday was superb. England have just been a bit better. If you want to have a miserable waaahhh go ahead, but saying India haven't had fight is just boneheaded. They've just been outplayed in the final stretch which is allowed to happen, its not been like the first test which felt self inflicted because of the dozen drops..

Why is Jadeja getting frustrated at Reddy’s running when he’s usually the one at fault lol

Yeah basically we have fought hard with a younger team that is still looking to estabish itself. They were far worse when they were here, for example. The thing is though this side should continue to get better. I hope they keep their feet grounded enough to do that.

My biggest worry is they seem to take it a bit easy everytime we do well. The short turnaround between the tests have not helped but there was some lazy strokes in the first innings. :(
