It shouldn't be a hard cutoff like that. I'll admit I've been guilty of it myself (sometimes miss Davidson if a filter of 200 wickets doesn't catch him for something statistical). But you can downgrade someone for lack of longevity while also acknowledging that they had a high degree of quality and success.
