I think Lillee’s record is good.
It is just that he barely played outside Aus, Eng & NZ.

Quality wise I think he is top 5.
Exactly. That my position. His quality is up there but ultimately he shouldnt be preferred over more proven options.

Just to compare Hadlee and Lillee:

Lillee did far better than Hadlee in England.

Hadlee is ATG though in Australia to his credit. However, I would consider Lillee at home to be slightly more impressive than Hadlee at home. Also slightly better in his WSC series in WI than Hadlee was there in his single series.

Hadlee got to play SL more and that helped his record a bit. In India and Pakistan, Hadlee has one quality series in three. Lillee didn't get to play enough in the SC.

Both Hadlee and Lillee bowled tremendous amounts of overs so I don't think the lone gun arguments works as well here. Hadlee likely more accurate but Lillee was faster, had a great bouncer and was more skilled in the off and leg cutters.

People on here in the past have said Garner was just above medium pace.
