Can’t be including Trueman and Lillee while leaving Garner out. Peak Garner was ridiculous.
(technically I’m excluding his very final innings, to show how his career was in 2 seperate stages)

Garner as a first change bowler (1977-1983)

32 matches 61 innings 131 @ 21.83 SR 55.9 2 5’fers

Garner as an opening bowler (1984-1987)

26 matches 50 innings 128 @ 20.09 SR 45.6 5 5’fers

There is every indication to me that Lillee was just as quality a bowler as Hadlee. The only difference is that Hadlee got more chances to prove himself away.
