Aus pace bowling attack surely one of their best ever i think. The left arm of Starc mixed with the Pace and Accuracy of Hazlewood and Cummins.

It is unique in its relentlessness of line and length.

During the golden generation years you had Warne and Mcgrath who took wickets and kept it quiet, and of course Brett Lee was fearsome whilst Dizzy was super skillfull, but I felt you could actually move the scoreboard on against Lee and Gillespie, or MacGill of he played.

Whereas Hazelwood, Cummins and Lyon are all exceptionally relentless with their lines and lengths. Whilst Starc offers pace and variety.

Both amazing attacks, but in conditions like Barbados and Grenada, the current 4 are basically impossible to face.

It was one reason why I was so impressed with Brandon King playing the knock of the series so far against them in only his second test. The difficulty level facing that attack is so high.

They've failed bowling sides out in the 4th innings a lot for a supposed ATG attack.

Never happened with Boland in the side, just saying

I like this attack, but mcwarne and co were far superior. Lee is starc and Gillespie is haze, but McGrath leaves the cumster in his wake and Lyon is many alligators away from Warne. Bowling era versus batting era but the batting era has better stat's.

Will the next test be the first DN match at Sabina Park? How does the pitch play there and is it expected to change character under lights?

They definitely struggle against any sort of aggressive counter attack but I think the majority of the times they’ve struggled to bowl sides out is towards the end of the series or when the batting has sucked so much that there’s no break between innings

Yes they have beaten or drawn against every test nation they have last played in a bilateral series, amazing domination even though it doesn't feel like it.
They needed atleast a single series win in England or India tbh to achieve true greatness. The frustrating thing was they were probably 2 good sessions away from winning their last 2 assignments each in England and India but just couldn't close it out

They were close to winning in 23 ashes but in india? They were smashed in first two matches then won on lottery pitch then dravid tampered pitch at abad. When the hell were they close in india?

I can imagine it will swing a lot under lights there tbh. They had a trial day night match in March, during which Guyana thrashed Jamaica. Here's the scorecard. YouTube has a recording of day one, day two, day three.

As you can see, it varied between goodish for batting and nightmarish under lights. Swing bowlers bundled jamaica out for 44. Admittedly Jamaica was rubbish all season, but they also had King, Mckenzie and Blackwood in their lineup, so not completely useless by fc standards. Won't be fun facing Starc, but equally Jayden swings it further than anyone in the world according to hawkeye, so he won't be fun to face either.

I think it will be better than the last two pitches, but very challenging if anyone faces the new ball under lights. I wouldn't recommend scheduling any time off to watch day 3 and 4, put it that way .

Australia already claims NZ music, food, coffee, horses, film stars etc. as theirs, so just claim our series wins in England and India

Starc, for all his flaws, is much better than Lee (Lee only really had that extended 12 month purple patch post McGrath's retirement - besides that he always was a bit of a liability).

Hazlewood v Gillespie is a much tighter contest, especially given how flaaaat the decks tended to be in Dizzy's heyday. Would probably still narrowly give it to Haze.
