I would rather not play Kraigg again.
Me neither, but I reckon he gets to the end of the series and then he'll be dropped.

Trouble is who else is there there? I said earlier in the thread, I'd pick Rutherford and say be super aggressive. We have nothing to lose.

Otherwise the only change I'd make for Thursday is Kevlon in for Warrican.

I think labuschagne may get back his no.3 spot. In terms of returns, he would definitely fare better than Green or Inglis.

It does feel like Carey's shoddy keeping has gone under the radar a bit. Feels like he's dropped a sitter a game and missed a fair byes few every game the past 3 tests.
What did Carey do before the test series/wtc? Might be a case of rust because his keeping has been really good up until now

Without wanting to be a pedant and overly critical of Sammy, in an instance like this, if one person gets justice, everyone does.
Tbh I think he handled the media well. He is skilled in that regard. Especially given it does not appear that that an i ternal investigation is taking place and therefore he doesn't have that to give as an easy answer. It will be very interesting to see if he plays.

His keeping was excellent for a year or 2. Either he's just having a bad patch or he's reverting. I reckon it all started with that Shield game last year when he dropped Konstas early, which as an aside is probably responsible for us having Konstas in the Test side as he went on to make a big hundred and really put his name up there. If Carey takes that catch I doubt Konstas makes any Test squad or side as of this point in time

The last two test decks he's kept on have been pretty two paced. That doesn't excuse some or all of the drops, but the WTC final deck, for example, had some bouncing in front of the keeper in the first innings, and others coming through head high. The last deck in Barbados was also a bit up and down.

Having said that, I think people have noted on here previously he struggles with his lateral footwork sometimes and lunges late at times.

Of course he'll play. Nothing's changed and probably nothing will change.

Just saw Steve Snith confirmed fit with Josh Inglis missing out.

What a mangled test career selectors have given Inglis batting him out of position and being dropped twice after only 3 Tests

Fair enough call when you think about it though. Numbers 4 to 7 are locked in. He's not going to open with Usman and Konstas in the squad, and they are clearly very committed to Cam Green (and for good reason). There's just no spot for him unless someone is injured

How about as keeper if Carey keeps dropping sitters and getting out to reverse sweeps at crucial times (2nd most outs to reverse sweeps ever) 😉
