No idea. I may buy a copy.Oh? Any specific criteria? Tests only? etc.

Sure.Would you still watch him if he began quoting kyear?
IIRC, in one of his earlier podcasts (I can't remember in exactly which one, actually), he said that he doesn't rate Imran's batting too much and his batting stats are inflated by not outs. He said that Imran's batting wasn't that impactful & Imran has scored 6 test centuries, and only 1 of them came in won/resulted matches. (took this as an example to prove his point) Further, he said Imran was a 'pinch blocker' in ODIs and could have singlehandedly cost the game vs Kiwis in the 1992 semis if it wasn't Inzi's batting because Imran couldn't accelerate. Maybe the point he was trying to make in that podcast was that Imran had limitations as a batter.Looks like Kimber rates Imran batting as the best secondary skill of all-time and calls Kallis bowling overrated @kyear2
He hadn't read cricketer posts about Imran's batting back thenIIRC, in one of his earlier podcasts (I can't remember in exactly which one, actually), he said that he doesn't rate Imran's batting too much and his batting stats are inflated by not outs. Tests only yesOh? Any specific criteria? Tests only? etc.
Yes I watched that and he made those points but only in relation to saying that Imran wasn't the same as other 50 averaging batters his last decade, not to diminish Imran overall as batter.IIRC, in one of his earlier podcasts (I can't remember in exactly which one, actually), he said that he doesn't rate Imran's batting too much and his batting stats are inflated by not outs. Tipping Tempura #1.His book on 50 best batters come out this week.
IIRC, he also said in another podcast that Kallis is pretty much underrated as a Test batter because he had to bat in tougher home conditions.Yes I watched that and he made those points but only in relation to saying that Imran wasn't the same as other 50 averaging batters his last decade, not to diminish Imran overall as batter.
Yes, in real podcasts he's called him a not out bandit.IIRC, in one of his earlier podcasts (I can't remember in exactly which one, actually), he said that he doesn't rate Imran's batting too much and his batting stats are inflated by not outs. Anyone knows the order?Tests only yes
He's pretty consistent about that.IIRC, he also said in another podcast that Kallis is pretty much underrated as a Test batter because he had to bat in tougher home conditions.
If you're talking about the show with the two clueless co-hosts, that's not watchable. They have no concept of the sport and he plays to the base. They never do, Kimber is the only proper analyst out of those guys
I was interested in buying the book, it's being released tomorrow. We'll get to know if anyone buys it.Anyone knows the order?
His perspective as a statistician on the matter should be interesting. He's talked about the top 3 for a while, so shouldn't be any surprises there.
Yeah, and I know you're kidding. He's a big fan of Andy Flower's wicket keeping.
YeahI was interested in buying the book, it's being released tomorrow. We'll get to know if anyone buys it.
But the top 3 is:
Bradman
Hobbs/Tendulkar
Tendulkar/Hobbs
Also the more I've watched him, he would probably rate Gilly's keeping higher, it was just that in one moment, without thinking, he said Flower imo.Yeah, and I know you're kidding.
As it's not so much that m he rates his keeping, he doesn't really rate Gilly's that highly.
The amount of time he's quoted Warne, though he acknowledges the context and the relationship.
Which is more than fairBradman is 1
Hobbs is 2
everyone else can duke it out for three
He does rate Gilly higher. That statement about Flower was a one off. He had an entire discussion about the AT keeper selection and Flower's name didn't come up once. Not even in jest. Also the more I've watched him, he would probably ratprobabl's keeping higher, it was just that in one moment, without thinking, he said Flower imo.
Because he definitely rates Flower the better batsman, and I'm pretty sure he rates Gilly the better wkb.
