I realise Henry Cooper's T20 record was discussed probably a few pages back.

But just to put some numbers around it, and highlight the problems of 16 man domestic squads (IMO) and coaches too close to former team mates.

Before this season started. Cooper was 30 years old and had a T20 record of 25 matches played and average of 16.93. Don't know what his SR was.

That is a good enough record for coach to select him in 9 out of 10 T20 games this season where he averaged 7.22

Cooper is clearly a good batsman, and NZ'A' level player, and his poor T20 record is a bit of a mystery to me. And we all love Watling the cricketer. But that is quite frankly a disgraceful and blinkered use of resources within the ND association.

Third man? I watched him hit a pull shot for four over point the other night, watching an old Indian T20 highlights clip. Was so late on it, the blade hadn't come through yet

Excellent recovery from Carter and Hampton. Exemplified by Ferns' opening spell of 1–12 (5) turning into 1–77 (10) – conceded 44 runs alone off his last two overs, the 48th and 50th.

Love seeing the Rangatahi tournament at Cornwall Park on their number 3 ground, which basically has a 30m boundary at 'long on' by the hospital. Two Aotearoa players scoring retired hundreds off 30-odd balls.

Same ground that Lord Colin de scored a double hundred and Donovan Grobbelaar scored a ton on in a 50-over national championship game (from about 40-4) and Trent Boult was batsman of the tournament for most runs in the same tournament (different year)

I can definitely see Trent Boult liking a 30m 3rd man boundary to ramp 6s all day.

Is that where he developed his ramp over gully from outside leg skills?
