Head has always had a bit of a knack of pulling out the occasional excellent second innings knock at Shield level

Hope it can be seen in Tests at some stage

Tbf his 100 against NZ in the boxing day test was pretty good, came to the crease after a few wickets and turned a solid position into a dominant one, that kind of knock was hugely missed vs INDIA last summer, particularly in the 1st dig of the 4th test.

You don't need to remind me what a great (and seriously underrated imo) knock that was

Was thinking more of innings like this one for example, they still lost but Head just looked on another level that day

EDIT: 100 up now. Love to see it

Yeah I get what you mean, he plays innings like that fairly often for a guy who averages just about 40 in FC, clearly an insanely high ceiling.

Should go with Head & Uzzie but will select that scrub Harris because something

I honestly have nothing to defend his selection

Head is infuriating because his problems are entirely technical. He gets lazy once he's set and his feet stop moving and he ends up nicking off our hitting one straight to mid off/ cover.

He's clearly wildly talented but just needs to sort out his footwork to up his game to unlock his potential international standard.

That’s mental not technical

Different format obviously but nice to see Carey at least hitting them well if he’s gonna play the first test

Renshaw made SA look like a bunch of subbies

Their bowling was atrocious towards the end & he just smacked them

Agar bowled 3 yorkers for 3 runs and everything else went for 4 or 6

I don't think so. Sandhu's always been capable of this he just doesn't keep it up for long enough. Big fan of him though, he's a certified alpha.

Why didn’t Sandhu keep up with his offies?

Has a really good action for them and did well on an A tour
