When do umpires tell Pant to knock off the screeching? It's obviously iintended to jolt the batsman just as he's contemplating a single. Not sure if that's entirely within the "spirit of the game".

I wont say it is that deliberate or anything, as he does that basically every ball. But yes, if it goes beyond certain limits, umpires can step in.

Form's a funny thing, isn't it. I'm sure Buttler will come good again in this format, but he never looked likely to produce the innings that this situation needed today. Even the most pessimistic Indian supporters would concede that this game in theirs to lose now.
