bull****, if Australian crowds behaved 1/10th as bad as those South African crowds half of them would have been banned for life and high profile public apologies made by CA

Don't care how badly behaved you think the Australian cricket team was, it's simply not relevant
good for australian crowds, and lol it is completely relevant. if lehmanns side aren't strutting about mouthing off, telling their crowds to make broad cry, promising broken arms in a supposedly non-contact sport, giving OTT sends offs courageously behind the umpires protection, picking fights in stairwells etc do you think the south african public descends to the level of aus?

truth is if the australian cricket setup (specifically the coach and the batsmen, the bowlers seem like pretty solid dudes) were members of the general public doing what they did in public more than one would have learned to enjoy hospital food. they were lucky to only get trolled back more viciously than they gave and indulge in incompetent ball tampering. the way lehmann told his team to carry on the logical end result was a fight on field.

lehmanns australia met their match in direness that tour and it was extremely funny for neutrals.

So you just repeated yourself with more words, that's great. I don't really disagree or care. Doesn't suddenly make CSA more forgivable or make me feel sorry for them that they had a tour cancelled on them.

You know I don’t think
im not endorsing CSA at all, im stating lehmans team received what they gave. of course, when other teams descend to their level they're crossing the mythical australian line.
That line gets mentioned on cw more than from our cricketers. The irrationale of it is all Aussie abuse is bad and any directed to Australia is just good ole righteous revenge. Its just a sanctimonious scam for your own hypocrisy and I suspect a dislike of Australia that must titillate you for some reason.

We all saw the Ashes and the abuse Smith copped. As if the poms were really upset by something that didn't happen to them. And its not as if England don't have their own proud history of cheating. But that's all fine and they can expect some back as is the case with all touring teams. I enjoy coming on here and laughing at all the outrage when fan's teams in Australia cop it as if it there isn't history. But what you conveniently overlook is the victim in SA was an innocent woman who has had to live down an indiscretion she wouldn't have to endure if she was a man, as the differing treatment of SBW proves. In SA we saw cricket's platitudes advancing women get powdered in a vengeful display just to get at Warner. And here you are, blokey throwback, okaying all of it and blaming it on people who never wore the masks, made the remarks and humiliated someone all over the media. Good on you. Top bloke.

Wouldn't have cancelled if it was england or india. The infection rate is currently dropping in SA. Aus only wants to play the lucrative tours...
There's still almost 36000 new infections in South Africa in the last week alone. That's about 35999 more than Australia has had. It's understandable that Australia wants to keep its players safe, particularly if lockdown are easing in spite of such a high infection rate.

And how much have those numbers been under estimated due to infections in townships?

skimming this wah at work so just want to reiterate to the heavily australian pysches that no one condones the sa abuse which is why i have always referred to it in phrasing like 'descending to lehmanns sides level and beyond"

you may continue your sulking

After watching QDK as captain on a few occasions, I am less convinced there was genuine malice intended on his behalf.

The bloke just simply isn't very bright

tour outside their comfort zones of India and UK.
Ftr no one actually likes touring India, they do it because of money. which is fine, of course. But let's be real, no one enjoys it. Have an actual real chat, not a PR/$$$ driven one, with any OS player ffs. They've all seen the Taj Mahal and had a good look at the Himalayan foothills. What else is there worth doing, seriously? There's a reason they remain hotel-bound in non-pandemic times when they do their IPL stints.

As for SA, with the bug rampant over there it makes sense not to tour. If you can't go to SA and get out to do a safari or go on a great white watching tour on False Bay, it's all a bit pointless. Not much else to do worth risking a lethal lung infection for.

CSA and Fat Grah in particular are having a whine about the tour being cancelled "at the last minute." Well, duh. He must have got concussed a few times ffs. Of course it'll get cancelled at the last minute, that's what happens in a health crisis where circs change rapidly. Idiots. The SA tour is very popular over here. They've cancelled it on health advice and nothing more.

Besides, SA has already had the mighty SL side over there and had some tests at home this summer. We all know what a great touring outfit they are. They're fortunate the Little Lankans toured during the pandemic to begin with. Be grateful, not sour.
