Is MS Dhoni an ATG OdI batsmen?

Yeah, find some match examples for your twisted logic that no one can understand. Odds are you aren't going to find many and then we can show you why you are wrong.
Twisted logic? Really?

Him scoring at a SR of 119 when the team bats first is twisted logic??
Him scoring at an overall SR of 123 when coming at 6 is twisted logic??

So you give him extra credit for scoring well when India is winning, but take no credit for being **** when India loses? ok.
He's a lower middle order bat who usually bats with one good partner at the other end in T20Is and mostly has to bat with the tail. So yeah, when we lose, a whole lot of things usually go wrong before he gets out to the middle with the bat.

Examples. Go get them. You are the one who is obsessed with proving something here. Trawl through games and prove your point or get laughed at.

If you can't understand why someone who scores at 119 while batting first may not be a good T20 batsman? By all means, keep laughing.

Let's be clear here, sr of 119 batting first is definitely nowhere near impressive, for any batsman, let alone a batsman who bats lower down the order.

Why are we ignoring Dhoni's contribution as keeper and captain? Taking those into account, even his kinda underwhelming record as T20 batsman (when compared to his IPL record) is more than enough to make him an excellent T20 player overall.

13th Match, Group E: India v New Zealand at Johannesburg, Sep 16, 2007 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Run out on the 13th over before he had the chance to accelerate.

Final: India v Pakistan at Johannesburg, Sep 24, 2007 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Faced only 10 balls.

Only T20I: Sri Lanka v India at Colombo (RPS), Feb 10, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Fair call.

2nd T20I: New Zealand v India at Wellington, Feb 27, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

His team was 4 down and he had to take it slow at that point. It was a comfy win in the end anyway. Can't fault his thinking or SR really. But, yeah, fair call.

16th Match, Group E: India v West Indies at Lord's, Jun 12, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Fair call.

24th Match, Group E: India v South Africa at Nottingham, Jun 16, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Only 12 balls faced and again, a run out.

Only T20I: India v England at Kolkata, Oct 29, 2011 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Looks like a bowler friendly pitch. Fair enough.

16th Match, Group 2: Australia v India at Colombo (RPS), Sep 28, 2012 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Fair.

1st T20I: Zimbabwe v India at Harare, Jun 18, 2016 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Kept off strike by a tailender who couldn't get him a single quickly enough in the final over. Good bowling by Zim.

And here are examples where his slow batting either ****ed or almost ****ed the match for India.
So he failed 5 times in his career? What a terrible bat. Clearly shouldn't be playing for India.

Shri

Mr. Glass
Right, but his first innings stats aren't impressive. SR of 119 is pretty mediocre tstl for a guy who bats 5-6.
Yeah, its kinda arrogant in a way I guess. He knows that he can strike it better than anyone in the world if he sticks around till the end but sometimes he just gets out before he can launch.

Are you for real? Do you understand the concept of strawmen?

These are not personal failures, a personal failure will be 4(3) or something, these kinds of innings are a personal failure + almost a guarantee of team defeat. Do you want me to go over his full career and call out every match where he failed? You asked for examples, not a career summary. There are many many more innings where he failed / did nothing worthwhile. And he bats at 6th position, 12 balls is like 10% of all balls your team is gonna face, there is no such thing as "only 10-12 balls" in T20 cricket, one over is enough to make the difference.

Dhoni has weirdly always batted much lower than he should. He would've been a much better player in both ODIs (where he is still ATG level) and T20s if he consistently batted at #4 or at worst #5
