This is a cricket forum, not a troll-the-English forum.Disgusting effort by the Poms.
Averages more with the bat than all bar 2 of our guys and is a better wk than all of themPrior, happy with his first run in a decade, decides to engage in a war of words.
NomnomAverages more with the bat than all bar 2 of our guys and is a better wk than all of them
Think he has earned it
i've talked to some english people and prior has earned it
Not this year he hasn't.Averages more with the bat than all bar 2 of our guys and is a better wk than all of them

Indeed but his career has been longer than a yearNot this year he hasn't.
to win 3-2, no, no-one else has done it. no idea about coming back from 2-0 to draw the series and hence win it. cant think of a way to search that on statsguruHas anyone ever come back from 2-0 down? The only series I can think of was 1936/37.
Naturally. Doesn't seem like there'll be enough rain to save England.Surely Australia paying $1.19 is unbelievable value?!
It has, but if we're using that logic then Mitchell Johnson hasn't earned the right to say anything to the Poms, despite taking 17 wickets in the last 3 matches (unless, of course, we completely adapt it and say that seeing as though he took a lot of wickets against them once in Perth he has earned it). You can say anything you want whenever you want, but I don't think the argument that Prior having a decent career average earns him the right to have a go at a team that has him averaging about 14 against them this year is a solid one. Especially when that team apparently isn't that good.Indeed but his career has been longer than a year
Yeah look I slept through the last session, no idea what happened in terms of sledging. But there are plenty of posts of late that seem to imply Prior is just a crap cricketer. And that's all I was getting at. He's out of form, badly, but that doesn't overwrite three or four years of being the world's best at his role.It has, but if we're using that logic then Mitchell Johnson hasn't earned the right to say anything to the Poms, despite taking 17 wickets in the last 3 matches (unless, of course, we completely adapt it and say that seeing as though he took a lot of wickets against them once in Perth he has earned it). Personally I don't have an issue with him having a chat, I don't think he started it. But his career average means **** all in the grand scheme of this series given how he's going at the moment.
I think it was actually Broad that was doing most of the talking, and Prior just joined in at one point to back him up. The bloke can clearly bat (even though I've said otherwise in the past), I'm just glad he isn't doing very well against us this year.Yeah look I slept through the last session, no idea what happened in terms of sledging. Yeah fair enough. Was pleased to see he scored a few but from reading through here he struggled through. See how he goes tonight I guess. The key is to hang in there as long as we can with back to back tests.I think it was actually Broad that was doing most of the talking, and Prior just joined in at one point to back him up.
