McIntosh scores a century and Guptill gets runs. Regardless of whether they've played well, India must be bowling tripe or the pitch is very flat.

Batting yourself at 8 with a walking wicket at 11 and a less-than-great 9 and 10...proof glasses don't always equal smart.

Brilliant stuff McIntosh. Had a feeling he wouldn't survive to stumps though after getting 100. His series average is now a healthy 34 :)

The litmus test will be if Hopelesskins scores runs. Though somehow I just can't see it ;)

Gar! Again with the losing of a wicket at the end of the day! Great for McIntosh though, keeping that average happily floating around the 30 mark. And good for Guptill too, even if he was living the most charmed life imaginable.

Need 500 on this pitch, so there's still plenty for Ryder, Vettori, Williamson, Southee and ****kins to do.

Decent day for us, though I suspect by the standards of many teams 258/4 would be just a par score for Day 1. Stuff it though, Guptill and McIntosh scored runs!! One less wicket would have put us ahead but as it is we're still relying quite heavily on Ryder, Williamson and Vettori to get us to a competitive total tomorrow.

Swing and plenty of it makes this very very interesting.

Bet we'll take a few wickets and look on top only to be foiled by the rain. Making this match another easy draw.

Final match India bring it and we get thrashed.
