Broad bowling awfully again, really would have liked Harmy in for this Test. Send Broad back to Notts to learn his game in FC cricket.

Graham Manou, 30. Can they bring some youth into the team, someone with a future? Like with Nixon for England in 2006/2007 in Australia, they are playing old players.
In both cases they picked the best man for the job. Nixon was required for a few months only, it was a World Cup - hang the future. In Test cricket in general and an Ashes series above anything else, the best option is the man to pick. Haddin is clearly the best wicketkeeper-batsman in Australia currently; Manou is clearly the second-best. Hang the future.

North goooooooooonnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to Anderson, super take for once.

Why does the team need a wicketkeeper with a possible future? It is a one off opportunity to fill in for a couple of games, best filled by the most consistent Australian domestic keeper; Manou.
Yup. Manou was the obvious pick.

These are the times I miss Adam Gilchrist. The other team with their tails up, batsmen would want to settle themselves in, yet Gilchrist would come on and turn the match on it's head in less than a session.
