With Paddy out next match, I will probably use this as a chance to play an extra striker in Najeeb. I'm not really happy with the amount of goals we have scored this season. Our midfield been quite solid. Berland is an option but he doesn't really add anything extra we don't have in the middle. Defence has been ok, but I don't think it is worth it to bring in the extra defender in Mbome against Fury.

Likely side:

Donald
Loganathan-Rose-Davis
Demeza
Manju-Palour
Griffen
Comley-Mamesh-Najeeb

Bench: Sneeder-Mbome-Ernst-Berland-Ezequiel

Can we have an updated list, so I can work with my players about seasonal training options?
Yeah, will do. Only for after Round 5 though. Will not include the points for the Charity game as Ill do that update after the International

Ok guys this season we have the chance to do some in season training as per this thread. At the end of day it your call how you want to develop yourselves as players. But these are my recomendations:

Blake Donald: ST - 22 to 24, PS 2 to 1
Xavier Rose: TK - 19 to 21, PS 7 to 4
Tharmi Loganathan: TK 18 to 20, SH 2 to 1, PS 6 to 4
Heath Davis: TK 18 to 20, PS 6 to 3
Travis Demeza: PS 13 to 15, SH 7 to 4
Paddy Gundry: PS 16 to 18, SH 4 to 1
Manju Reddlapalli: PS 12 to 14, TK 7 to 4
Thamba Mamesh: SH 19 to 21, TK 3 to 1, PS 7 to 6
David Comley: SH 16 to 18, TK 3 to 1, PS 8 to 7

Only player I'm not sure about is Griffen. We really need an AM to balance out our side. But if we turn him into an out and out AM, he could become a bits and pieces players once more players sign up. A 17 passer would also be handy, but our midfield is quite solid. Will probably have to email him to talk to him about it anyway, as he doesn't post much. Any thoughts on Griffen's options?

James Griffen:

PS 15 to 17, SH 9 to 6
or
SH 9 to 11, PS 15 to 12

If you guys are happy with the above training, just post it in the training thread and I'll confirm. If you want to change things around feel free to discuss it.

Wow thats quite some changes. I guess you put specialisation far ahead of total points?

Its an interesting subject as someone like Mork has been fantastic this year but is a true 2 dimentional player.

Yes and no, it is all about balance IMO. We have two DMs in Trav and Paddy tha can play the two dim role. Manju still has 7 shoting so can play a similar role, Griffen I rather be an AM, but I guess I have to talk to him about. If I can get in contract with him. I think it is important some midfielders atleast can play those roles. But for forwards and defenders I don't think it is a big deal.

My skills are quite well rounded. I think this is a chance to lose one point to really improve and change from my bits and pieces game to a real threat.

Great idea.

Would like to note I'm happy for Xav, Heath and Griffen to stay the same if they want. There is a few guys with useless 3rd stats that need to be taken if there a chance and this is probably the best chance. The above three stats are fine, unless they themselves want to become more specialist type of players.

Pretty sure we are full strength next match. Time to make up for the worst performance of season against Nomads in our last game. Going to through the kitchen sink at them. Najeeb will probably start again, either Griffen or Palour will get rotated if that happens.

Can't believe I made team of the week from that game.

That was one of my lesser games, in m y opinion :) good to be finally recognised, though.

We are having a stellar year thus far!! Keep it up :p

Oh well atleast with all these suspension we can keep rotating the squad around and try new formation. Will come handy down the track when we have more CW players to selection from and more squad depth.

Aggression seems to be a hard thing to find a balance this season. We not getting a significant amount of cards, but enough to make a difference. Rather not lower it too much, cus I don't want to play pansy football.

Can't remember how the team of week works exactly but pretty sure players with higher primaries get the line calls over players with the lower primaries. Probably the first sign of your stats adjustments having an impact IMO.

I think #9's my position somehow. Slotted 7 goals in 3 games. Might catch Thamba's skill points soon if i keep bagging 3's and 4's, got 416 odd from this game, which will see me jump to 19 and be about a 3rd of the way to 20.

Good performance by the team, solid defense to keep them out and some good midfield support to set up chances for Thamba and myself. Delighted I'm actually finding the net now, instead of the keeper making miraculous saves all the time or having myself fall over the ball at the last minute.

I see your happy with your form there mate. :)

Just noticed that you have taken over as leading goal scorer in the competition. Reckon if the NT selectors go for four forwards in the squad you are a good chance of making squad if you keep your form up. Interesting to see we are the leading goal scorer this season. Makes a major change from last season when we couldn't find the back of the net.

When it comes to position and tactics we are starting to find the right balance. Only issue is still the No 11 spot. Griffen starting to hit some form playing 8 (i think). Trav out for next two matches so Najeeb will keep playing there for next two matches. He doing ok there, but I can't see him making a full strength side.

When it comes to in season training I think the changes are working nicely. Looks like we pretty much got the balance right, would still like Paddy to change, as I think we need one more top line midfielder. Reckon Heath and Xav showed last game the importance of having a couple defenders that can pass. So I'm happy for those two to stay the same.
