Your Country's uncapped XI

Cricketer Of The Year
Shocking as it may sound to some out in this crowd there is enough players out and about to make a half decent Kenyan uncapped XI,(uncapped meaning having not represented the full Kenya team against another National team) although most will probably be capped by March next year.

Will edit this post in a minute to put up the XI itself

Here goes:

David Maina
Francis Otieno
Charles Obuya
*Ramesh Mepani
Ken Migai
+Timothy Muange
Rakep Patel
Alpesh Bhudia
Dominic Wesonga
Moses Otieno
Rohit Vekaria

LOL everyones Australian teams are disqualified except mine. Can someone else pick a side with uncapped players!! Meaning no Test, no ODI, no Twenty20..

BTW I don't think White is all that classy. He bats like a junior (an awesome junior) in a way, I am not impressed with the way players like White and Crostwaite push at the ball.

Still White should be in the 20/20 team, and very very close to the ODI team. No where near the Tests though at this stage, he wouldn't make many sides batting lineups to be honest.

Only by your criteria. I named a test team so I picked players uncapped in tests. If I picked an ODI team, I'd have picked players uncapped in ODIs. Pretty simple there, for mine. Not even going to dignify Twenty20.

Does a player selected for ODI cricket receive a cap with his countrys badge on the front?

It means he's capped tbh.

Not when I'm picking a test team it doesn't.

If we want to get technical, every player is capped because he receives a state cap.

So maybe we should just pick grade cricketers who have never received a cap during there cricket career.

Actually the thread says Countries uncapped, so I'm taking it as you can't pick a player you has represented australia in an international match, which I'm certain was the idea behind the thread.

Who would you pick if you couldn't include players who have played for australia before?

Yeah, but it doesn't say "country's uncapped but only by the country." If I have an uneaten sandwich, it's uneaten by everyone, not just me. If it's still mine but someone else eats it, it doesn't stay as "my uneaten sandwich" - it is eaten. So the theory of NSW capping a player as a technicality is just as relevant as a player getting capped by Australia in another format.

Not interesting in doing that, as playing ODIs has **** all to do with playing tests IMO. You've either played tests or you haven't as far as I'm concerned.

Good thread, but also extremely eye opening if your a windies fan. A lot of the 17-20 year olds are better than those on my list but they haven't had enough FC experience.

Test XI

Adrian Barath - 17 year old genius, already 2 fc tons etc
Brenton Parchment - Might be capped soon though
Dale Richards - Attacking Bajan batsman with okish fc record
Travis Dowlin - Tres ordinary, but thats the level we've dropped to
Steve Liburd - Promising Leeward Islands batsman
Kieron Pollard - Extremely promising, brutal batsman etc
Patrick Browne - Okish Bajan keeper/batsman
Ravi Rampaul - Will be capped soon though
Kemar Roach - Genuinely quick youngster 1
Nelson Pascal - Genuinely quick youngster 2
Amit Jaggernauth - Travesty that he hasn't been capped yet

ODI XI

Adrian Barath
Brenton Parchment
Dale Richards
Shaun Findlay - Jamaican youngster
Travis Dowlin
Steve Liburd
Patrick Browne (wk)
Esaun Crandon - Big hitting allrounder
Nikita Miller - Stingy Jamaican left arm spinner
Jason Bennett
Kemar Roach

Pretty rubbish teams lets face it, only Barath and Pollard have outstanding FC records and they have only just started. Lets hope the youngsters develop quickly and replace the lost generation that we are dealing with at the moment.

Pretty weak side, with only Jesse Ryder clearly of international quality at this stage. Having said that I wouldn't be at all surprised if this team outscored the current New Zealand batting lineup.

Leaving out ODI-capped layers would make selecting an India side pretty rough.
So disregarding that expectation, an India XI woudl be:

Pujara
Uthappa
Badrinath*
Rohit Sharma/ Tiwary/Raina
Rohit Sharma/ Tiway/Raina
P Dharmani + (India has 4 FC-active capped Wks in Dhoni,Karthik,Parthiv,MSK Prasad. )
YK Pathan (off spinning all rounder)
P Ojha
Gagandeep Singh
Ranadeb Bose
Pankaj Singh

Bruce Martin? Never heard of the guy. Whats he like?

Picking Broom, Ryder and Nicol to be good batsmen in the future. Tim Southee looks the best bowler by far.
