haha, hes had a poor year, but he should win matches against first round slam opponents...

Schuettler has had a bad year too, out in the first round of both the Australian and US Open, and didn't get that far in the other two.

schuttler is a lot higher ranked than he should be, hes a fringe top 20 player at best, hes just had a lot of consistent results and plays a bucket load of tournaments, he hasnt really got the game to trouble the big guns...

well he did beat him easily, 6-4, 6-4, 1-6, 6-1.
went off the rails in the 3rd set but came back, also beat Mello overnight, hes now only one win short of the quarters, a great effort, hes playing berdyech, the dude who knocked federer out of the olympics, he also beat Youzhny in 5 in the 3rd round, so its not going to be easy, but tommy will start favourite.

Good to see all the big guns like Federer, Roddick, Agassi, Hewitt, Haas all making the later stages, makes for much better viewing

yeh he didnt give lopez a sniff, haas vs hewitt in the quarters looks like it could be a cracker if they both survive the 4th round....

both guys are serving well, good percentage of first serves in and winning a good number on those balls....
