I don't know the rule well enough but it looks to me like Cotchin was going for the ball, not a bump, but does contact his head. I'd say it was a genuine hard attempt and not reckless, but interpretation as to his 'duty of care' could see him in trouble.

The issue is essentially whether they feel he elected to make body contact with the player. If they feel he did, he's responsible for making contact with the head and will be suspended. There was one angle that was particularly unfavourable to Cotchin in this regard imo.
