NRL man still really, even if I did jam the AFL tipping this year.

Geelong
Hawthorn
Adelaide
Sydney

Anyway, teams currently look like this:

Neutral: HDS, 99*, ripper

AFL: NZT, SirBloody Idiot, pasag, cameeel, SKD, Vimes, Matteh, mikeW, altoz

NRL: Mr Wright, chaminda, DCYE, pinchy, James90, morgieb, speirz, Simon, Burgey, Clapo, Brumby

If I've put anyone down wrongly or you want to be moved just say. :)

After the Hawks tore the Bulldogs a new one the early code table looks like this:

1) AFL - 88.89% (8/9)
2) NRL - 81.82% (9/11)
3) Neutrals - 33.33% (1/3)

The Aussie Rules boys unsurprisngly making the early running, with only Matteh letting the side down. Neutrals struggling tho, frankly.

The AFL asserts its authority after the Crows/Pies game:

1) AFL - 83.33% (15/18)
2) NRL - 50% (11/22)
3) Neutrals - 33.33% (2/6)

Interestingly (well it's probably not interesting at all, but it's Saturday morning & I'm bored and mildly hungover, so meh) only two AFL fans (SKD and cameeel) went for the Crows & only two NRL fans (Clapo & DCYE) went against them, so knowledge of the sport clearly playing a part early on.

As absolutely everyone has tipped Geelong to win on the morrow I might as well do a full update.

=1) HDS 3
NZT 3
Vimes 3
mikeW 3
altoz 3
=6) SirBloody Idiot 2
pasag 2
cameeel 2
Matteh 2
chaminda 2
DCYE 2
morgieb 2
Burgey 2
Clapo 2
Brumby 2
=16) 99* 1
ripper 1
SKD 1
Mr Wright 1
pinchy 1
James90 1
speirz 1
Simon 1

5 full-houses mean a share of the early lead for Heath, Geg, Vimesy, Mike & tozzer. Everyone on the board with at least a point.

1) AFL - 77.78% (21/27)
2) Neutrals - 55.56% (5/9)
3) NRL - 51.52% (17/33)

Meanwhile, a perfect round lifts the neutrals up into second. The Aussie Rules boys dominating so far tho.

=16) Mr Wright - 2
=16) pinchy - 2
=16) James90 - 2
=16) speirz - 2
=16) Simon - 2

I've rather pointlessly added the extra points to all for Geelong's win. Heath, Geg, Vimesy, Mike & tozzer all get a bonus point for being the week's joint leading tipsters, which will be used if players are level on points to split them. A wheeze shamelessly appropriated from cameeel.

Team

1) AFL - 83.33% (30/36)
2) Neutrals - 66.67% (8/12)
3) NRL - 63.63% (28/44)

The AFL boys unsuprisingly lead the way after the first week of AFL-only action, but next weekend the NRL finals get under way:

NRL (worth 1 point)

Sydney Roosters v Brisbane Broncos
Cronulla Sharks v Canberra Raiders
Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v St. George Illawarra Dragons
Melbourne Storm v New Zealand Warriors

AFL (worth 2 points)

Western Bulldogs v Sydney Swans
St. Kilda v Collingwood
