I take it all back

We have the greatest collection of U/19 talent and the future is ours

Not really but it was a great win and all credit to young Pope

Hasitha Boyagoda scored the U19 highest ODI score of 191(152) vs Kenya in Plate QFs.

He didn't play vs Afghanistan, and Pakistan group games, whihc SL lost

Jeepers, old Popey needed to knock England over quickly. We have a big hole in our ozone layer in NZ and he looks like he'd burn up pretty easy.

Not the first time Pope has made headlines. Having said that I remember how promising Henriques was at the U19 level.

Captain van Tonder had a mare. One big score against Kenya followed by only six runs against West Indies, New Zealand and now Pakistan. Makwetu gave them a sniff but bowling was too ill-disciplined and it was only the spinners who kept Pakistan in check.

The guys that were expected to do the job for us with the batting failed miserably. This might be the last of Mahatlane who's done nothing to justify his position as coach. Of the current lot Breetzke is one nearer to provincial cricket but on the basis of his performances I'm not sure.

Poor performance by the SA U19, but the top order was just bad... they are better than they showed, but really disappointing. That put the team under pressure every game. Makwetu won the day for them against WI. Hopefully turn into a better version of Mosehle.

SAF and WI unimpressive in their knockout games. Think the pool of them plus NZ probably looked stronger on paper than it really was?

Pak comprehensively beat nz in a warmup game.

NZ v Afg today. We'll find out maybe.
